“Very useful comparison site, I had not realised there were now so many companies providing this, but in practice many of them seem to be fronts for the same underlying insurer. Might be nice to have this identified by MoneyMaximiser.”

With regard to your point that some companies that seem to be fronts for the same underlying insurer it is more frequent that different insurers use the same underwriter rather than being co owned. There are a couple of cases where companies are joint owned - but then they tend to offer a different level of proposition though both brands - normally one will have lower limits than the other or offer a wider set of options. We are however continuously striving to improve our site in order to provide the best possible information for our customers will be sure to take it into consideration during our next site review.
