“Not received decking stain yet. Ordered Saturday it's now Tuesday......I've gave rating of two stars purely because it wasn't delivered next working day. I'm assuming it will be here today? I can only advise you send your review requests out after products are delivered”

“The product I purchased was very competitively priced and gave a delivery date of only 48 hours from placing the order. However the item was late being despatched by Maxwells, this was then compounded by a probelm with the courier. The item ended up arriving 5 days later than expected. I did contact Maxwells DIY and they dealt with the problem very efficiently, chased up the courier and refunded the delivery charge. I would order from them again, but not if i needed the item urgently, as I did in this case.”

“Very unorganised customer service/on line ordering team. Paid for next day delivery,on items they could not deliver to local store within a week..One week on still no items. Customer service promised call back within half hour at 15.30 pm but failed to do so,maybe this was because they close at 16.00 pm.offered postage refund ,nothing as of yet ?”

“Customer service are very friendly but I still have not received the goods I ordered 5 days ago on next day delivery. Paying by PayPal apparently means that you will get no information about your order without repeated calls to support.”

“Ordered two tins of Ronseal exterior undercoat & primer, but they delivered two tins of Ronseal exterior white satin. They were replaced the next day, which was good service, but it shouldn't have happened; attention to basic detail required.”

“Paid £4.99 for next working day delivery - ordered Monday am - was informed despatched Tuesday for delivery Wednesday - nothing received. Queried Thursday and was told that it had been delivered Wed pm - turned out to be to the wrong address. Parcel now tracked down. Ordered Monday expecting delivery Tuesday as had someone on site needing it to complete job so not too happy with delivery time.”

“Ordered the goods on Wednesday was told a delivery would be Friday waited in all day and goods never turned up. So had to cancel workmen booked for today then asked to write a review. Not a happy customer ...”

“I was informed the delivery would be next day so arranged someone to be there but was then told it would be a day later by Beth, I tried ringing but no answer. I sent an email but got no reply. Not happy”

“Dulux Bathroom+ paint did not arrive as promised (1 hr slot advised on the day by text). UK Mail failed to deliver and failed to call my mobile. I contacted UK Mail who said it would be delivered later that day. It didn't arrive so I contacted Maxwells. They contacted UK Mail who said it would be delivered the next day. I asked for a refund on next day delivery charge. Maxwells refused, saying it was my fault (courier could not find my address!) I said UK Mail admitted it was their error for not calling my mobile. Maxwells reluctantly offered £2:00 off £4:99 next day delivery charge. The paint arrived the following day, badly dented. It was not what was advertised on the web, but a colour matched mix which in retrospect I could have got locally. Poor all round.”

“Ordered and paid for items before 4.30pm Thursday expecting delivery Friday! Got an email saying would be delivered Monday and apologies for delay. Stopped in Monday to receive delivery - did not arrive! Had no contact from Maxwells so rang the them to sort out delivery. They said goods had been damaged in transit and that they would deliver part of order on Wednesday and the remainder on Friday. The said the reason for this was that they were out of stock of the full order! Arrangements then made for all order to be delivered of Friday. I am pleased to say it was delivered on the Friday. I would suggest that more contact be made with the customers when something goes wrong!”

“Considering this is the first time i have ordered from MAXWELLS, not very impressed by the fact that considering i ordered a next day delivery for some weedkiller i bought my Son for his garden as he couldn't afford to buy it as his garden is overrun with weeds, your company didn't bother to inform me it wasn't being delivered due to the fact it had leaked, which i found out only by ringing another branch of your shops as the one i ordered it through online, was constantly engaged when i tried to ring them to ask what had happened to my Son's delivery, so not impressed to say the least even though the price was good after a reduction.”

“My kind of company!!, have everything imaginable for DIY, good competitive prices ( cheaper that ALOT of other places), quick to deal with, quick delivery and excellent communications, I shall be returning to buy again from these guys. “Specifically ordered from Maxwell's as they offered next day delivery at a sensible price. Need the varnish to complete our letting cottage so timely delivery was the key requirement. Ordered on a Sunday online assuming it would arrive on Tuesday leaving me time to do the job before guests arrived this Saturday. Nothing came Tuesday or Wednesday. Tried to ring customer services multiple times Wednesday to constantly get an engaged tone. Left a message on Wednesday evening on answerphone requesting update and call back today. No call back as of 11:00am so tried again and got through finally. Told that it has gone by Royal Mail not 24 hour courier but will refund the difference in the postage cost. Seems they are cheap but not to be relied on as shown by other reviews. If you have time to deal with potential shipping issues then worth a punt but if you need it urgently not sure I would recommend them.”
