Was sent timely reminder for maintenance visit. It was quick and easy to set up convenient appointment via email and engineer attended well within the hour timeframe

Good, helpful and polite techncians. Administration section is somewhat less prompt in answering 'phone calls, or calling back. As long as you have an annual inspection (£70 plus VAT), call out charges are moderate if you need to call a technician out. We have had only to do this once, and the technician was prompt and dealt with the problem efficiently.

Not happy about the fact that you’re going paperless. The service man had to write a receipt out for me. I don’t have a printer. Would prefer the invoice in paper format as my email is unreliable.

Thankyou for taking the time to leave a review - we appreciate your feedback. In order to reduce our environmental impact and make information between Engineers and our office flow more efficiently, Lynx made a company decision this year to transfer over to a digital report for corrective and preventative maintenance visits. Over the course of a single year, around 30,000 pieces of paper were being used relating to our routine services alone. Customers that do not have an email address, will still receive reminders and invoices via post in the first instance. However, due to our Engineers receiving information directly to their devices and the ever-changing situations throughout the day, we are unable to supply additional copies of invoices each time we attend a property. We do appreciate that a small number of our customers may not have email or own a printer. Due to this, our Engineers carry the original paper dockets and can fill out one of these too if needed. We currently have a small supply and, although we will not be re-ordering these going forward, we suspect the remaining copies will still be available at request for a few years to come.

Planned maintenance carried out. I was contacted in plenty of time to arrange a convenient day and the engineer arrived bang on time and efficiently carried out the annual service. Only niggle I have is that I feel the price is a bit steep for 1 hour’s work!

Shane told me that the battery would be no charge, as in all dealings regarding my previous home and business I had NEVER paid for a battery. However I received a bill for.......... 1 Battery! Not happy at all. Please check with Shane

Good afternoon Mr Roadknight, All replacement batteries are classed as consumables and as such would be chargeable. We do return to replace batteries free of charge at our discretion if a battery appears faulty, however the panel battery on this occasion was over 4 years old. I have spoken with Shane, who attended yesterday, and he has confirmed that you were informed of the cost of the panel battery while he was on site and that you did question having to pay as you had never had to pay for a battery in the past. There may be a reason why you have not needed to pay for a panel battery previously - if you would like us to look into this for you please send me an email: lauren@lynxsecurity.com Kind Regards, Lauren

Excellent feedback and responses to my many questions during quotation and prior to installation. Lynx made me feel comfortable that I was getting the system I wanted and that suited the property. No question was too much bother and they were always responsive. Installation was completed on date and time booked. I only gave 4 stars as the installer had to come back the next day to program some additional equipment that had been omitted and I had to follow up, or I would have given 5 stars. Otherwise, an all round professional process from start to finish.
