Great alarm but very expensive for a short service visit where it seems that all that is done is change the batteries and test the alarm works

Thank you for taking the time to leave us a review. The annual renewal cost includes the recent service and replacement wireless batteries for your system. It also deems the system as Maintained for 12 months. With this Maintained status, you have the following: • Priority callouts over unmaintained customers. • Access to our Out-of-hours Emergency Engineers – contactable via any of our telephone numbers. • Reduced callout rates. • Next annual service offered at a reduced, maintained rate. We renew our charges routinely and are continually looking into ways to keep our costs are competitive as possible. Kind Regards, Lauren

Good morning Mrs Jerome, Thank you for leaving a review. I am sorry that you were not happy with the cost offered for the service renewal of your system. The cost of the renewal includes the service visit itself and replacement batteries for the wireless devices. It also gives you 12 months access to our emergency engineers and reduced callout rates if any visits are required in-between services. As a company, when we invite our customers to schedule their next appointment, we include the costs for your consideration so that these are known prior to booking. There is no obligation to have a renewal. However, it is advisable to ensure the system is functioning correctly and replace batteries. We do appreciate that costs have increased over the past 14 years and we are actively looking into ways of reducing costs as a business so that we can keep service and callout costs as low as we can for our customers. I do find the service is expensive for the time the Engineer is at my house

Thank you for using Lynx Fire & Security and for taking the time to review our recent visit. The cost includes the engineers visit for the service and replacement batteries for the wireless devices. It also gives you access to our out-of-hours facility which means you can get in touch with someone 24 hours a day. Customers who keep their systems serviced also receive reduced callout rates in the event that you require an engineer to attend in-between services. We do appreciate that everyone's budget can be different and we are trying our best to be as competitive as we can within the security industry. We will explore ways in which we can keep ongoing costs affordable for our customers.

Hi I just wanted to say guy came to look at my alarm on 13th January.However he had the wrong address.It was making me anxious as I needed to go to work.I think the difficult thing is contacting you because it’s out of hours after 5pm.I contacted the office to make sure guy was coming but couldn’t really speak to anyone.I was hoping to get some discount for the inconvenience.Thanks!

Good afternoon, Thank you for leaving feedback on the recent visit. We can see that the appointment was scheduled for an arrival between 08:00 and 08:30 on 13th of January. It appears our Engineer began the service at 08:20 and finished the service at 09:25. My apologies that you were made you feel anxious - sometimes it can be difficult to locate properties, especially during busy times with lots of traffic around. Our office is open between 09:00 and 17:00 (Monday to Friday); outside these hours, a message can be left with our Out-of-Hours Operators if needed who would pass on the message for you. As the Engineer attended during the scheduled time, we are unable to provide any discount on this occasion. Kind Regards, Lauren

The engineer was a friendly guy but I don't understand how the charge can be so high for a job that takes about 10 minutes - the sensor in my garage was not checked either. Unsure if this was because it was tested differently.
