“The logs were ordered easy and the delivery next day prompt. I reordered following the great customer service received last spring ( basically a previous order was not up to Scratch, acknowledged and a complimentary box sent). I used the box just recently so I re ordered. I am pleased to say the same quality as the complimentary box.”

“Chunks were a little smaller than I had anticipated but they burnt longer than ones I've had from different companies so didn't use asany as normal. Would buy again 100%. Really quick delivery as well.”

“My order was received in a timely manner, but one of my bags had some cuts and tears throughout the bag. The quality of the wood, however, is excellent. I ordered Cherry, Apple, and Oak.”

We're happy to accept zome tears in the bags, it's better than using plastic, and of course all the bags are shipped in a heavy-duty cardboard box anyway 😃 Paul & Heather

“Great service, got great dry wood delivered to my door in a few days. Only downside was that three packages arrived with three differed trucks so they should do more to ensure most efficient delivery with eye on carbon footprint for their logistics.”

Hey Emad! We aren't in control of the DPD network so there is nothing we can do, but we selected DPD as our courier as they actually offset every single delivery making sure they are carbon neutral 😃 Paul & Heather

“Quick and convenient. I’ve not tried them yet so not sure how far they will go as have got a Ooni Pro oven. My first trial needed a few chipsticks and larger lumps of wood so the jury is out until I’ve trialled the quantity I ordered.”

“Faultless ordering process, on-time delivery, well packaged - no qualms! Maybe a touch pricey, but the logs are solid (no offcuts, saw dust or bits left at the bottom) and burn very well in my Ooni Karu 16.”

Hi Jacques, Thanks so much for the review, you've summed up everything we're trying to achieve! Sending wood in small batches by courier always means you will lose a decent chunk of the price into the courier rate, and we've learned that running an environmentally friendly business is very expensive compared to running one without taking consideration for elements like the packaging we use, for example. We're pleased that the good outweighs the price for you and as we grow, we'll keep working to bring our prices down wherever it's feasible. Thanks, Paul & Heather 💚

“Excellent quality Minimal smoke and soot . Good heat achieved. Take longer to burn than cheaper alternatives. So I find adding little and often to keep the flames and temperatures. Boxes arrive but have been open seem to still be full. They use a paper tape to seal the boxes. Great for the environment but not a great secure seal.”

Hi Jill, Thanks so much for the feedback and sorry to hear about the issues with the tape - we tested lots of options and settled on that one as the best option as we didn't have any issues with test shipments. Glad you love the product though! It really does make a difference to pay more for hardwood. I'll email you now to see if there's anything I can do with regards to the tape problem ? Paul

“First time I have ordered through live logs and was a little delay in then arriving through no fault of them but Royal Mail. Love logs have given me a 20% discount off next order. Will be ordering again. Haven’t used logs yet but you do get alot in large box”

“Website, shipping, Instagram, packaging I think it's amazing, love it all. The only thing I'm less excited about is the wood smell, it doesn't have the same smell as other wood I've been buying. I think I've had oak and hardwoods before, they just burn such a beautiful aroma. Alas the overall brand is so effective for someone living in an apartment and caring for our planet.”

Hi Dan, thanks for the feedback and thanks so much for being part of our first winter! We only sell hardwood but it is mixed species because buying specific hardwoods is more expensive - we recognised from the day we launched the business that we needed to do everything possible to try and get the price & value points right for you guys. Sometimes you'll get lucky and get a box of oak, and there are a number of other species that smell amazing, but right now, a lot of ash is being felled in the UK due to ash dieback disease, which has definitely got the most subtle smell of any British wood. As we continue to bring down our packaging and transport costs we might be able to offer single species hardwoods at a competitive price, so watch this space!
