“Good range of quotes available. The electrician we went with was a local company we already knew about who appeared on the list and the appointment was made for a couple of days later to suit us. Would use the service again for other work we may need doing.”

“Site provided a useful start to search for property surveyors. Surveyors info was all within the region, the solicitors info however was spread across the country, not helpful and I shall ignore it. Googling Local Solicitors and entering post code was more productive - Law Society site was especially helpful.”

“3 out of the 5 were in the local area. It would be better if all were as they would be more familiar with the housing stock, conservation and planning department and likley to have done similar projects before. However the 3 in the local area are all offering competitive services and are booked for a visit. I am delighted with this.”

“Emailed 3 suggestions on a Sunday afternoon for an asbestos survey. Heard back from 2 of them later that evening. Competitive quotes. Work not done yet so can't judge that, but the system obviously works.”

“Found Local Surveyors Direct when I decided to google local architects in sheer frustration at the lack of response from one I was in talks with. I prefer to go by recommendation but have to say I'm impressed with the level of detail provided by Local Surveyors Direct and how quick and easy the service is to use. For me the best thing is the fact that you can sit back and wait to be contacted - this sorts out the pro-active architects who actually want your business from the ones who are less interested. I have yet to see how it pans out but initial impressions are good.”
