“Not happy as one of the surveyors actually rang the estate agent and had the audacity to book a survey to be done without me even knowing”

Hi - We are really sorry to hear about this. If you can let us know the details of the Surveyor that did this (by email to enquiries@localsurveyorsdirect.co.uk), we will investigate further and take the appropriate action.

“An excellent resource full of some great contacts - I like the fact that it is possible to see reviews from others who have used the site previously and that all of the recommendations given had been in business for quite some time which gave increased reassurance. Rates are reasonable for the most part but the best thing is how proactive the service is which makes it even more appealing to use.”

“Completed a simple "on line" enquiry form. Received instant feedback in terms of pricing, contact details and links to providers web sites. Positive and timely response from businesses that featured on the contractors list. All in all a good and effective service”

“every single curveyor I looked at on line rang me-even though I asked them not to. I felt harrassed & didnt choose any of them.”

“I have not picked any of the surveyors because of the barrage of phone response that I get absolutely fed up of them. They should have waited until we pick those we want to contact or email us instead of all the nuisance phone calls.”

“Found a good company to do the work required, very prompt and high standard.”

“I was quoted £390.00 estimate for a Homebuyers report for my three bedroom house by The Residential Consultancy through this site. However once I contacted them they said it would actually be £590 excluding VAT. I don't understand how the estimate was so inaccurate - since in terms of square footage and type of house my house is pretty typical. It seems like a cynical way to attract enquirers. Use other comparison sites as the difference between estimate and quote is negligible.”

Hi, Thanks for letting us know about this. We ask all of the people on our website to make sure that the prices they list are as close as possible to the prices they actually charge. We will speak to the Residential Consultancy about this, and ask them to revise their prices accordingly.

“It was very simple to use the site and get competitive quotes for a house survey. All correspondence was via email up to the point I selected a surveyor and the person who carried out the survey was extremely helpful.”
