Our main business is helping home owners and home buyers make contact with Building Surveyors, Structural Engineers, Architects, Domestic Energy Assessors, Electricians, Drainage Contractors and other people providing property related services. In addition to domestic property we also provide a comprehensive range of services for commercial property. These services are provided over the whole of the United Kingdom by a comprehensive network of suppliers which has been steadily built up since the website first started operating in 2005.

“The results came through pretty quick on a pricing table which was easy to compare. The results showed eight companies mostly based in the area we are buying, some obviously not as one said they would have a surveyor in that area in 2 weeks time, another was 44 miles away. Five companies quoted ranging from £550-680 which was reasonable and these all followed up with e-mails. Two of which offered to lower their quote £55 and £100. A lot of the companies attached pdf examples of different surveys or gave links, so this was very informative. The other three companies were in the top bracket at £760-900, did not follow up with e-mails bar one who promised to drop their price to match the most competitive, and at a saving £345 I suspect these quotes were over-inflated. On the whole I was happy with the speed of the surveys and the follow up e-mails, but think they should reflect an accurate price initially and not re-adjust after they have seen their competitors quotes. One of the companies became problematic by e-mailing daily, asking us to contact them to take them off their list. I thought the search would bring up more local surveyors and as the one company was 44 miles away, I wondered if not having that local area knowledge such as green belt, flooding, mining etc would have a bearing on the survey.”

“I was pleased I got a list of companies contacting. However, most of them called me on my email several times offering me free estimates and were quite pushy. Secondly they were more builders or small design companies which were not RIBA or industry body qualified.”

“I received a timely email with a list of electricians in my area, unfortunately, the one I contacted was unaware he was listed on this site and this caused a bit of confusion. He was local and agreed to pop in to have a look at my problem but then called at the last minute to say he was sending someone else and would charge me £45. I cancelled the appointment and asked a relative for a recommendation.”

“The problem I found was that you do not separate surveyors for construction (architects and Architectural technicians)and Chartered Surveyors who undertaken valuations, building value, homebuyer reports etc”

“It's good to get quotes for comparison. However, I am not sure it is good to inform the companies before I have a chance to read and compare. Some of them called me before I read your email result! Others followed up everyday. Very disruptive! Otherwise, it would have been a very useful tool.”

“Easy to book and the survey was carried out relatively quickly. They provided the report on the morning of the 6th business day after being prompted the day before. I asked for them to check some specific things and I'm still waiting for a response about why they didn't do it.”

“Great and get most of my work from you, however, 60% of leads that i get dont have email addresses or telphone numbers and im expected to pay for it - i know you say to ring ip and you will credit but it is a bit of a faff Thanks Jack”
