“Shall have to be brief, as do not have internet access at home at present. I got quotes for some surveys but not for the more detailed ones, as it said something along the lines of surveyors are not visiting properties during the coronavirus pandemic. Found this rather strange: how do you conduct a detailed survey if you do nor visit the site?”

Dear Andrew I'm afraid you may have misunderstood the message along with the results. Some surveyors are not undertaking inspections at present. Those are not being returned in results, and the message is simply to point out that because some are not currently taking instructions at the moment, you may receive fewer results than normal. Those that are returned should still be carrying out inspections in the normal way.

“Used the website to search for a local surveyor. The results suggested that due to COVID a lesser number of companies would be available. The search returned ONE company! We contacted them directly to enquire about availability and as yet (7 days later) they have not made any response. Cannot rate anything other than very poor on that basis.”

“The reason I only gave it one star is simple, thee inspection was supposed to take place on Tuesday 10th Nov, 2020. Today is 12th only two days later, but the idiots who run the site have sent me this to fill in, and as I dont even know if the inspection took place let alone any report, how can I comment on it. The idiots sent this from so I am filling it in....”

“Having had the email from you giving details of White Horse Surveyors, I sent them an email with all the details about my intended purchase and never heard anything. I also phoned and left a message but they never phoned back. Completely useless and a waste of time.”

“I did the search for a local surveyor and tried to contact the one that appeared at the top of the list by phone and email and I still haven’t had a reply from them. Not great!”

“Very Poor Website - only gave one option who advertise in my area. Phoned firm who are actually based in the Isle of Wight and do not cover East Sussex at all . Suggest ads need updating ??”

“Our surveyor is Damian Jowert. He carried out the survey of 25 Grange Avenue , Thorp Arch, on 12 October. It is now 22 October and we have still not received his report, nor has he returned my phone call or contacted us in any other way. We are extremely disappointed and angry at these omisssions and fear that our buyers may decide not to go ahead with their purchase of our property”

“They got a quote from a local surveyor who would not honour it. To get the quote I had to provide quite a bit of information so I expect the amount of money they say to be accurate.”

“The site gave me a quote quickly so that part worked well. I eventually managed to make contact with the quoting surveyor and after some delay they said they didn’t carry out home surveys and in any event were too busy!! Terrible customer service and arrogance.”
