“I had 2 responses through Yourhousesurvey.co.uk I was £500 and the other £852 I checked what both were offering in terms of service and both were the same except The £500 could offer a date for survey only 2 days hence instead of almost 2 weeks I paid on line for the £500 service. This came from Your survey ltd from Dyseth they in turn booked Farrell Mills Ltd from West Derby Liverpool. Some 55 miles from the property to be surveyed!! Either John Dillon or Tony Flynn were to carry out the survey- Directors of the company. As soon as the money was taken and the emails received they had booked the survey for the following day. On the day mid morning I received an email to say the surveyor had now declined the survey stating ' 'that it is outside the scope of a Homebuyer Survey and outside of his expertise. He recommended that you book a Building Survey with somebody who specialises in that type of property.' This type of property he described at 'Geogian syle'. !! Its a 1973 brick built detached house.!! I submitted a couple of photos of the house to justify my assertion. I cancelled them in disgust and have booked another local surveyor after asking agents for advice. I was refunded the £500 today.”

“What a useless website. In all cases, the quotes I received bore no relation to the actual prices given when I contacted the firms - e.g. quotes for around £650 turned out to be over £1000. This is supposedly because the quote was an "estimate" - but it's just a plain old lie.”

“Absolutely terrible customer service. They agree to carry out work, site visits, calculations and drawings for a set fee, all agreed in writing, and then don't supply you what you've paid for. Happy to take your money, just not happy to do the work. Not only do you not get the structural drawings, but the report you do get is poorly written with so many spelling mistakes and poor fluency that you can't actually use the report. Avoid this company at all costs.”

“terrible site. Trying to buy a bungalow in Cromer. Asked for structural survey- -no surveyors available in the postcode then a Homebuyers report, again no surveyor in this postcode. Complete waste of time using this site!”

“Poor online search service. I specifically requested a level 1 survey which was given as an option through you; however everybody came back to me saying they only offered a minimum of level 2, despite your website stating they offered level 1.”

“I've been bombarded by phone calls and emails and all I wanted was some idea of cost! Never again will I use these types of sites again. I've requested no more phone calls or emails but still they keep coming. There's only one person who has actually taken notice of my request and if I was going to use anyone it would be them.”

“We contacted Chris from Downshire Surveyors, Hillsborough, who took all details and said he would be in contact again within a week. We made numerous tel calls which went straight to voicemail and never responded to emails. Absolute time waster and would defo tell anyone to stay away from Downshire Surveyors.”

“Found a surveyor through the site however I'm continually bombarded every single day since by surveyors trying to win business. It wouldn't be so bad if the top couple were given your details or you requested they contact you. Multiple firms contacting me every day is way too much!”

“After spending considerable time trying to find a surveyor to carry out an insurance rebuild valuation, without suucess, I was hopeful your recommendation would provide a good lead. However I did not even receive an acknowledgement, let alone contact. In the end I ended up with help from a surveyor at the other end of the country, Peignton.”

“Registered with the only recommended surveyor on the platform. Instructed them, gave card details and booked in appointment for survey. Waited in on day of survey and 10 minutes before due to arrive I had a voicemail saying they don’t survey my postcode! Fantastic service when recommended a surveyor that doesn’t work my area!”
