“The quotation wasn't a quotation apparently it was "ball park figure" which went massively northward when the surveyor finally got in touch with. Never again!”

“Won’t use again. Got 1 result which I booked and then the surveyor cancelled on the day they were scheduled to arrive. Complete waste of time.”

“We sort to ask the Surveyor about specific areas to include in the report which we itemised in our initial engagement questions. However we were refused any direct communication with the actual surveyor by phone before, during or after the inspection, as Your Survey Ltd. is a 3rd party agency and not the actual Surveyor Firm. For lack of this basic level of service we obtained a full refund.”

“No contact for 5 days, then I got a call and was promised a quote, although I’d had an online quote. It never came. Very disappointed!”

“Property valued a £1650-£1665, by comparison with recent sales within the postcode area which did not take into consideration the communal green garden, nor the situation overlooking the Exe with unique views. The surveyor concentrated on the absence of en-suite facilities, absence of central heating, granite work surface in the kitchen, and the generally old-fashioned finish, including the sitting room which was refurbished less than a year ago. Admittedly the place needs a lot of money spent on it. The purpose of the independent valuation was that it was required in the lease and should have been binding between myself ang the ground landlord. He could have insisted on the price, but even he thought it unreasonably low, and I am now in the process of selling it to him for £24,000. I paid for the valuation, which, quite frankly, could have left me unable anything vaguely equivalent in terms of pleasant situation.”

“The site was great. However, the surveyor was not. I have been ripped off and left with a report that is full of errors and not what I paid for. I have since learned the surveyor has been disciplined by the RICS and suspended. However, too late for me. The surveyor has disappeared, won’t answer emails or texts and I can’t get a refund. Extremely upset and disappointed.”

“Daviesrural.co.uk was contacted on about 19 June 2020. Yvonne Davies (owner) replied promptly on 22 June(Monday). We accepted her quotation and she replied on 26 June.....we are still waiting...(29 July). Repeated email were to no avail. On 14th July, we gave up and appointed another surveyor. In short, Yvonne Davies lost us three weeks in waiting for her to pull her finger out.”

“I quickly received three emails from 'local' surveyors and decided on DaviesRural.co.uk. The Survey was booked for 23/06/2020. I was expecting a call withing two days of that date to give me a summary of the findings, but by 26th I had heard nothing. I sent multiple emails and left multiple voicemails for the surveyor but got no response. The estate agency also tried to contact her without success. this led to a 2 week delay in proceedings. At least I didn't pay her in advance. Maybe the surveyor was incapacitated by accident or illness - I have no way of knowing. However, on the face of it, the service was non-existent and without explanation.”

“I received a list of surveyors through Local Building Surveyors. Before I could choose to who I wanted to contact, they had all contacted me. I was annoyed my email address had been passed on. If it was stipulated during the process I didn't notice it.”
