“Out of interest I looked for building surveyors on the internet, with your help. I had to look for good value and finally chose a company that I have used before and which is not on your list. However, since then I have been plagued by surveying companies pursuing me for work, evn when I tell them I am no longer interested. If there is another similar occasion when I need a surveyor, I shall go with my gut and not use the internet.”

“Called for a PRC structural survey specialist, was sent leads to structural design consultants and building and trade contractors non with PRC experience.”

“The homebuyers survey, was good however, i did find it a bit vague in some of the findings, this was later sorted by a Email to the surveyor who then answered some of my questions on the findings. Would definitely recommend it at least now i know what i am waking in to”

“The few I got in touch with I was not impressed with. Not one picked up the phone to talk to you. Everything was done via email which is not personal at all. I did choose someone through a different site who were very helpful.”

“Review was good. However it did take 10 days to arrive. I know it says 5-10 days but was disappointed it was the last day. Communication was good, replied quickly and explained.”

“My search found one provider to do a survey. The price quoted was reasonable at £730 (the best price I was quoted elsewhere was £517 and the highest quote was £1500). The surveyor got back to me quickly but was unwell and unable to take the work. So Local Building Surveyors is good to use alongside other similar search tools to find a range of providers to choose from”

“My search enquiry yielded just one potential firm although that firm appeared to be ideal. The fee quoted was acceptable. I immediately called the firm to follow up and was told my enquiry would be passed to a named individual. Unfortunately, the return call was slow and by the time it was received I had already given up and appointed a different firm identified through a simple Google search.”

“Website ok, but none of the surveyors suggested would offer to carry out a basic Level 1 survey. The house we're buying is only 3 years old and covered by NHBC. I don't really need a full structural survey @£600.”

“Got quotes off a few surveyors however despite being promised a survey for the following week none was forthcoming. I have now cancelled this with the company.”
