The survey was carried out as expected however the surveyor did not return the house keys to the estate agent. He was contacted as was his manager but the keys were never returned. As such I had to spend £80 on installing new locked so that the home was secure. This was a very poor service. They should refund part of my payment to cover the expense of the locks but that’s probably unlikely to happen.

I needed a surveyor for s precise and targeted task. All the responding companies could only offer a full house survey and were totally useless for my needs. None were prepared to discuss my needs and only wanted to offer a product of no use to me.

Disgrace! Don't use them! The surveyor spent approx 50 mins only in the property for a building survey. In the past have had a RICS home buyers survey done (less cost & less intensive) & they spent approx 3 hours! The whole report & the T & Cs are a total cop-out. Caused us to lose the property we really wanted, as time was of an essence & we'd have had to get several other 'experts' in, as suggested in the report.

Report was late and contributed to the sale been cancelled. When asked I was told this was to ensure the quality of the report. Didn't even get the house type right stating it was a semi-detached when it was a terrace house. Not impressed.

Communication was appalling. The agreed turnaround for the survey was 4 days ending up being considerably longer. Would certainly never use again.

I contacted Quadrant Surveying ( NOT Quadrant Quantity Surveyors of Boston)who were on your site as in Boston but were actually in Lincoln. They recommended me to a Mr Chris Barnes of Nene Construction Management Ltd who had minimal qualifications in Party Wall Surveying and caused me a great deal stress and waste of time. Quadrant in Lincoln have RICS on their website but RICS informs me that they are not regulated through them. If I were you I would take both Quadrant Surveyors Lincoln of your website.

Had a surveyor (Nick Harvey Consulting Ltd) round to survey a property we were looking to purchase. Got the report back saying there was no cracking noted on walls. After purchasing and moving into the property we have noticed a big crack from floor to ceiling in one of the bedrooms. The surveyor has since been back told us it’s not structural and will do us another report. In the meantime we have now got to get someone in to repair this wall which we would of got the previous owners to do or got some money knocked off the price. We are really not happy with the service we have received.

Got down to the post-code and address and tried about 10 times to get the address to come up into the box; gave up at that point.

As part of my due diligence, I requested a survey to be completed on a property was purchasing   I knew the property was four years old. However, Chris Humphreys estimated the property construction in the year 2000. This was not a typo as later in the document he went on to recommend I change the boiler. The boiler is in fact only four years old and by no means needs replacing   The entire survey was relevant to that of a nineteen year old property. Chris Humphreys drove onto an estate still under construction and carried out a survey on an immaculate property that is only four years old, the whole time thinking that he was stood in a nineteen year old house.   Chris did not responded to my query or offer to rectify the document.    Needless to say, the survey is useless, he has taken my money and run, leaving me with a document that is clearly nothing more than a copy and paste exercise littered with inaccuracies.   I complained to the RICS the regulator advertised on Chris’s website and got no response. The whole thing was a waste of time and money. Nothing short of a criminal enterprise.

The surveyor we instructed Steve Purcell did not send the survey report onto us. We had to request it after 10 days. He listed some items around the outside of the house and garden we are buying that needed attention. He did not indicate how much this might cost or how long it might take a builder to rectify. Alarming, we viewed the property again and found a dozen bricks had crumbled away on the first course of brick work on the outside of the garage. The surveyor HAD NOT notified us of this. I emailed to ask if he could give me an idea of cost to rectify the problems but did not get a reply. I had to call the office and he answered my email. He reply said he could not help. So I would not recommend Your Survey and certainly not Steve Purcell.

I didn't find the website particularly easy to use. I didn't believe that there is only one surveyor locally. Instead I used the surveyor reccomened/listed byeithrr the solicitor or estate agent.

We didn't even get as far as having the property review. The surveyor turned out not to be available for 4 weeks, about which we were only notified once we had paid the fee upfront. Really not impressed at all!
