Good mount and backing card but let down by poor delivery service. The delivery firm DX said that they tried to deliver on the day expected but didn't so had to wait in a further day for the delivery to be made.

Whilst Lion offer a broad range of products it's a shame they keep increasing their order value in respect to delivery charges now being £120 +VAT. Additionally having to order a minimum of £50 +VAT worth of frame mouldings is becoming prohibitive for a small business like ours. Others in the business allow us to order just one stick length if needed. Ok, still a delivery charge but sometimes this is less painful than carrying surplus stock. Come on Lion, review your order structure and give the small businesses like ours a fighting chance. Thanks from www.nleephoto.com.

Unfortunately I had the same problem few times when I ordered chop service expensive frames. Basically my orders which I send by email are missed and I have to check few days later when I realise I don't receive confirmation. Thank you

I would normally say excellent customer service but Lion seem to be ignoring the importance of communication. Couple of specifics, the last price increase was announced in the Dec newsletter in small print at the tail end....I missed it and I understand that the updated online price list has only been released a few days ago after some discussion through the chat function (good improvement) on the website. I think a specific email announcing price increases is warranted. Standard stretcher bars. Found out from a customer's other supplier(Tetanal) about the profile change on these bars, this was confirmed by customer service but I've not seen anything further, whats happening?

Great service from Lion, so I would have liked to give a 5 star rating, however, unfortunately the same cannot be said for the delivery service. My order of 3 items was sent in 2 parcels. 1 of 2 was dropped at the wrong address by the delivery person who just left it and walked away without checking. I called Lion who were great and contacted the delivery company who agreed to deliver parcel 2 of 2 the next day. I still have not yet received my delivery, neither has a card been left to notify me of where my items are. Due to the holiday period it's been 5 days and I don't know how long I will have to wait to receive my items.

ordered Wednesday and half arrived Thursday and the rest the following Monday. Luckily it wasn't urgent.

Great service, just disappointed BOTH lengths of of the L1741 arrived damaged 35cm from the end. Appears packed damaged as there was no damage on the bubble wrap

Dear Lion, Thanks for checking. My order all arrived OK. ( I haven't opened the mouldings parcel yet, but am trusting it's all correct.) I would have preferred it if you had notified me the day you were delivering it. I had understood that was what you were going to do. I would then have stayed in, and received it from you, and my neighbour would not have been disturbed. He get's rather irritable, and it was quite a bulky order. Thanks, Philip Johnson

Initial query by Lion asking for payment by card - but it was for a credit account on PO/Invoice basis. Goods arrived quickly and are as advertised and no further queries/issues re payment since my response to them .... yet (would use again but hope they get it right next time from the on line order that included PO info and credit account info)

Usually I would be giving Lion its routine "very good", but not so great with this latest order, 994041. Perhaps with the loss of a large proportion of my discount I am now becoming more critical of the quality of product I receive, but fortunately, upon collection, I spotted that the lengths of L1922 allocated to me were badly bent such as to be unsuitable for the larger frame I needed to manufacture. They both had a 45 degree cut at one end which I thought strange - were they an earlier return? However, what I didn't notice at the collection was that the L2737 chevron I had ordered and been acknowledged was an L2738, nor that the "use by" date on the purchased gold frame putty 9433, expired in 2017. I emailed about the putty late last week, but am awaiting a response. I will add that the bent moulding was replaced promptly and without question, but if it had been a delivery, not a collection, I would have been in trouble to meet my customers weekend deadline.

Ordering process online is great. Ordered by 12 noon on Friday however Moulding was not delivered next day by the Monday as per promise the DX Freight was delayed by a day and moulding did not arrive until the Tuesday. Sundries arrived on the Monday as per. However was delayed in getting work done as a consequence of late arrival of moulding.

It is difficult for me to order now the minimum order price has increased, especially with next day delivery being the only option. Though I understand the reason for this, items are often out of stock and this means waiting for the items and then placing another large order. I recently ordered some moulding but one wasn't in stock. this meant I only received one length and it was snapped in transit. Had the rest been in stock, it would have a bigger bundle and therefore stronger. However I am very pleased to be able to order only one length if required. I prefer to place frequent small orders as I only have a small business.

Dear Customer, Thank you for your feedback. Our minimum order value used to be £30 for sundries and £50 for mouldings. We changed this just over a year ago to make ordering easier so you can combine items to reach the lower minimum order value of £50. This value hasn't changed, just the carriage where we now send all orders placed before 12 noon on an overnight. I understand your frustrations regarding out of stock items and to let you know our website now shows current stock levels and due dates which can help to plan for your future orders. Hi so I've found the service at times isn't great but other time very good. The problems I've had have always been damaged to mouldings in some way, on occasion it's been through the courier not your fault but on other occasions the mouldings have either not been wrapped properly so move around and get marked/damaged and at times come with differences in the colour etc things like this, example I've had a couple of orders lately where mouldings were damaged due to poor wrapping so for my last order I asked for the mouldings to not be put face to face as they can rub and mark and to be individually wrapped or at least something between each of them, so some arrived face to back nothing between them but others were wrapped now luckily they weren't marked but you can see how that seems daft and is easily rectified. You have always dealt with these issues well though I'm sure Julia dreads seeing my emails, she has helped her service has been good and you've sent replacements. I would recommend using you as these are issue that can be sorted.
