“The first purchase I made had to be returned (no fault with the product, just a change of mind on my behalf) - but I found the returns process to be a faff. Firstly, I don't have a printer so had to arrange for my daughter to print off a returns label and bring it over to me. Secondly, my nearest branch of DPD to drop off the return parcel only opens between 9am and 1pm on Saturdays - and as I work away all week this isn't very convenient. Also, the nearest nominated DPD drop off point is a 14 mile round trip from my home. A very big faff indeed. Thirdly, you charged me £5..00 for the privilege :(”

“Cheap and cheerful halogen light. Difficult to close front glass once bulb in place. Suppose ok for £5. Bulb was broken when I opened box. Got replacement from local store. Pack of 2 £5. Got partial refund and silly message saying they would have sent another bulb. I replied I would have been 3 or 4 days in the dark”

“2nd order from Lighting Direct and poorer delivery performance this time. Credit Card was charged immediately on order but still no shipment after 3 weeks. E-mailed to ask for update and received an e-mail next day saying order had been shipped. Made me feel like I had been forgotten about and e-mail had reminded them. On the plus side, prices are good, product quality is good and tracking of delivery via Fed Ex is good.”

“Good products, excellent delivery. Package well protected. Picture light was perfect, particularly as it had an on/off switch, which a lot of them don't have. Also low energy light bulbs mean the bulbs will not have to be changed so often.”
