Letterbox Gifts produce beautiful letterbox friendly gift sets containing British-made products, each being hand-wrapped in our workshop in Sheffield. They are designed to be delivered straight through standard letterboxes to avoid any annoying trips to the post office! There is a Letterbox Gift for every occasion, with each gift set coming with a complimentary greetings card which can be personalised with your own message. Letterbox Gifts also offer subscriptions, where a different Letterbox Gift comes through the door each month.

“The website was quite easy to use and there was a fair amount of things to choose from. I particularly liked the option to send a video message along with the gift. The negative point was that I was promised a tracking update once my item was shipped, but I didn't receive any further communications. I ordered an item on Wednesday, due to ship on Thursday and be delivered on Friday. I hadn't heard anything by Saturday so I emailed them but didn't receive a reply until Monday. I have not received a notification to say the recipient has opened my video message but I don't know whether this is because the message is unopened or because I just haven't been sent the notification.”

“I purchased a Brownie Box for 24hr delivery but it arrived almost a week later. This was obviously meant for a birthday gift so to not arrive on time defeats the object of paying additional for specific postage.”

“A really good choice of gifts, love the fact that you can build your own custom version. Delighted with the gift I chose and it was delivered super fast. Only complaint would be that I selected a preferred delivery date 7 days away from the date of purchase) but it was sent immediately, perhaps worried about the state of post office deliveries. Anyway I would definitely use Letterbox again.”

“Sorry but the whole point is that gifts are delivered regardless of the recipient being in or not. I have had experience of a delivery before now and was lucky enough to be in otherwise a card would have been left. On this occasion I thought I would put previous experience down to a one off, unfortunately however the same again, postman left a card so a gift that was due last week was finally received today after I rescheduled delivery. Luckily the recipient was this time but the postman still knocked rather than posted it. Defeats the object somewhat!”

We are always looking for ways to ensure that the gifts are posted directly to recipients through the Letterbox and clearly state on our outer packaging that the boxes are designed to post straight through. Unfortunately the Royal Mail officer delivering the parcel makes the final decision on whether it's suitable to post through the letterbox, we are sorry to hear that in this instance it wasn't posted through. “I have only left a 3* review because of the following - I chose this site as I knew the recipient wouldn't be in, so as the name suggests, Letterbox gifts, it would fit through the letterbox. It wasn't through the letterbox and instead there was a card left so the recipient didn't get the gift until 3 days after the event. Had I known this was going to happen I may have chosen a different site”
