Avoid this company if you want quality leather that is going to last as it should. I bought a grey leather duffel a couple of years ago and unfortunately cannot find the receipt. I wear it very little as I have other coats and when I do wear it it is definitely not for strenuous activities. Yesterday whilst shopping I took a tissue out of my pocket to discover a huge rip. On further investigation I notice the corner of the other pocket has started to tear as well so presumably this is what happened to the first pocket and then when I put my hand in it just split. On further investigation I note the leather is thin and of very poor quality - quite ironic as it’s from their signature collection!! Obviously because I have no receipt customer services refuse to do anything- I presume if this is typical of their products they probably have a lot of refunds to be done and any reason to get out of it is useful. I am disgusted and disappointed at the experience and quality one gets from this company and I have learnt my lesson the hard way! I suppose at the end of day you get what you pay for and you learn from how companies deal with issues, so beware!

I bought this bag in the black Friday sale about 2 weeks ago. According to the ticket, it retails for £94.99, I bought it for £48.00 and now it is advertised on the same Lakeland site for £36.00. Good mind to return it :(

Hello, The original selling price of the bag was £94.99. Prior to Black Friday the bag was listed at £64.99, and this was the price we highlighted on the website alongside the Black Friday price of £44.99. I'm afraid I've checked through our sales records and pricing history and can find no reference to a selling price of £36 for the bag you purchased. If the bag had reduced we would happily honour the lower price, but this bag hasn't been sold online or in any of our stores fro £36. It is now back at the pre-Black Friday price of £64.99. ´How did we do?’ you ask. Well, first of all you sent me the wrong item. Then, customer services said they would send me a pre paid envelope to return it and then send me the item I ordered. The money has gone from my account but I’m still waiting. My answer to your question, ‘You didn’t do very well’.

I am very disappointed in the Farlam bag I have ordered. I used in yesterday for the first time and find that the large slip opening on the front is too loose and tends to gape out from the main body of the bag giving a very untidy appearance even when empty, I think a pocket of this size needs a magnetic clasp. for me moneys wasted as I won't be using it again.

The hat I ordered arrived damaged (a white mark on the top, the clip on the side was completely broken, and it was very scratched inside) I was offered a 10% refund for this, but instead asked for 20% which I felt was fair at the time, though I now feel that for the shoddy item I received, more should have been offered. The customer care I received was very lacklustre and I felt that she didn’t care at all.

I ordered a size 14 jumper. When it arrived it was a LARGE. Apparently this is Lakeland's sizing and a 14 is classed as large. However it was huge it would have fitted my male partner who is an extra large. Very confusing sizing am in the process of trying to exchange for a normal size. Not impressed.

After a false accusation by a member of staff in the Keswick store and a complaint made to Customer services, I received an email stating that I would have to wait for any apology or refund because the head of customer services and the MD are off on Fridays. I caution anyone purchasing something they may later seek to return. This company apparently have no regard to what customer care really means. Obviously their ability to rely on passing trade means they can jettison the need to respect the individuals who enter their stores

Hi Allison, The point of the reply to your email yesterday was to inform you that the necessary people (at the right level) who need to look into your allegation were unavailable to do so yesterday, and so would take up this matter as soon as possible. We are not refusing to issue a refund, we are simply wanting to understand both your point of view and that of the store. I would like to think that given your position you can understand that. Once we have spoken to the store team we will be in contact. I apologise for any distress this issue is causing you, we will do our utmost to rectify the situation, but given the accusations we want to handle this in a thorough, professional manner. Do not buy ANYTHING in the Keswick store that you might want to return. They will accuse you of fraud before they will give you your money back. Absolute thieves. Unashamedly and unapologetically falsely accusing a customer in good faith and refusing to back down. Disgraceful.

I ordered a belt for £20 cost me £4 the belt was to big so sent it back cost me £5. The delivery and return policy is absolutely disgusting.. I won’t be ordering again

I rang the Bowness shop on Wednesday morning to enquire about a bag asking if they thought it would hold an I pad , they were not very helpful, I had measured the i pad and it was within the size quoted but when it arrived in super quick time the I pad fit in the bag nicely but the the bag wouldn’t fasten round it.so no good. I was also dissatisfied in the fact the page did say 10% entered the code said not applicable carried on and the page said free carriage which also didn’t appear to work. Like I said the delivery was excellent. Wasn’t best pleased when taking it to the post office to send back and it cost me more than double the delivery to send it back as I did like they said and paid for tracking. Will think twice about ordering something on line again.

Sorry about your experience. I'm afraid I can't explain why the voucher code didn't work, it has since been tested and is working again. We would have been happy to retrospectively apply the discount. All orders under £70 are subject to a standard delivery charge of £3.99. The dimensions we supply are for the outer area of the bag, as this bag features a recessed zip closure, that is why the ipad doesn't fit. And finally, the return postage costs can fluctuate greatly depending on the courier chosen, we recommend using a tracked service as the items are yours until we receive them back. Apologies, but I appreciate why it's been a negative experience.

Wouldn't buy from this company my glasses case was faulty after several photographs they decided I had to return it and they would decide if it was faulty which it very obviously was but I had to pay the return postage which was £4 that I had already paid to purchase item.

The plastic envelopes for the cards are almost impossible for me to use, I cannot get the cards in without a lot of trouble. I will have to find another wallet.

Unfortunately my experience with lakeland wasn't a good one, I had a problem with my delivery and received a refund when not requested, never received my bag, very disappointed
