“I cannot praise Lakeland Leather enough for the way they handled a recent issue with my refund. What started as a stressful situation was turned around completely thanks to their outstanding customer service, genuine empathy, and generosity. Mistakes happen, but I truly never expected anything beyond a resolution and refund, yet they proved to me they see each customer as a person, not just a transaction. A wonderful family-owned company with the kind of integrity and genuine care that is rare nowadays and should never be forgotten. From the moment I raised the problem, the team treated me with patience, kindness, and respect. They took the time to explain everything clearly, reassured me at every stage, and even personally chased their accounts team and payment network to make sure the refund progressed as quickly as possible given my circumstances, despite not having direct control, since the refund was automatic. Their communication was not only professional but also incredibly caring, I truly felt that they understood my circumstances and wanted to support me as much as possible. What moved me most was their generosity. As an apology for the error, they gifted me a beautiful Hutton Large Leather Holdall. This was such a thoughtful gesture and went far beyond what I ever expected. It speaks volumes about their values as a company and how deeply they care about their customers. Lakeland Leather have not only earned my trust but also my heartfelt gratitude. I will always remember the kindness they showed me, and I will be recommending them to friends and family not only for their beautiful products but for the exceptional people behind them. I also want to mention the Hutton Large Holdall itself, it is absolutely stunning. Made from beautiful aniline full-grain leather, it has an amazing texture with visible natural pores and a beautiful, rich grain and patina that give it real character. The leather is thick, luxurious, and carries that fantastic, unmistakable leather smell. The craftsmanship and quality are exceptional, offering a level of value and authenticity that you simply won’t find anywhere else. Thank you to Kate and Georgina & the entire Lakeland Leather team, for crafting such beautiful products and for turning a difficult experience into one that left me feeling valued and uplifted. I truly appreciate the reliability, care, and genuine attention you show your customers, it’s clear that your pride in craftsmanship goes hand in hand with the way you treat every customer who interacts with your company. “– Excellent Customer Service from Start to Finish Although my experience started off a little rocky, I want to highlight the fantastic customer service I received from Lakeland. I had ordered a cake stand as a birthday gift, but unfortunately, the first one arrived smashed. I contacted customer service and spoke to Ben, who was incredibly helpful and understanding. He apologised sincerely and quickly arranged for a replacement to be sent out. Unfortunately, the second one also arrived broken (through no fault of Lakeland, I imagine – just bad luck with delivery!) I reached out again, and this time spoke with Suzanne, who was equally lovely, and took it a step further - she personally packed the third stand herself to ensure it arrived safely. And third time lucky - it arrived in perfect condition, just in time for the birthday! Despite the setbacks, the genuine care and professionalism shown by Ben and Suzanne really stood out. It's rare to come across such dedicated customer service these days, and I really appreciate the effort they both put in to make things right.
