“Leather gloves (Twin buckle) rapidly deteriorates and fray almost immediately with little or no use "chipping" away.Company advertises itself as makers of "unique highest quality luxury leather since 1955" yet the gloves I bought and have worn about five times look shabby and old within two months of use. I have bought far cheaper gloves from High Street brands which have lasted me over 13 years with no deterioration as they're accessories worn for only about four weeks a year intermittently.I will never shop from this brand again. Also awful customer services who takes forever to reply to emails and are extremely unhelpful. Shame on you all for trying to delete this review...it is an honest account and I will ensure this does not get removed. SHAME ON YOU!”

“I purchased a leather bag but unfortunately it is faulty I paid cash and didn’t keep the receipt. The bag has a Lakeland stamp in it and is still available to purchase so not that old but customer service will not help without a receipt despite it obviously being one of their products”

“Terrible Material Quality... Bought a Jacket from them and expected it would be fantastic. Sadly the material it was made from was incredibly thin and within 4 weeks it was falling apart. They refused to replace, Repair or refund and insisted that I had done something with it I ought not to have. One major tear happened when sat in my car seat driving and could not have been from anything other than the material rubbing behind my back... Gutted.”

“I wanted to replace a leather crossbody bag I had originally bought at a Lakeland store some years ago. I found what I wanted on the website and after receiving a prompt answer to my query about VAT I ordered the bag which was delivered to me in 5 days. I was impressed with the excellent, friendly and efficient service I received from Lakeland and would not hesitate to shop there again.”

“I bought a "Rydalwater" leather coat just over a year ago and I really like it. The leather is good quality and the coat is really warm and it looks good. However, something to beware of is that the collar is stiffened with wire. I didn't know that until it broke through the leather and stitching and cut me! Just be careful. This one bites!”

“Great service. Next day delivery in safe packaging. Outstanding Braithwaite leather bag with smart stitching that adds lovely detail. Great size for all essentials. I am amazed at the quality for the price. Will definitely shop here again instead of the overpriced larger high street shops.”

“When I contacted customer services by email the response was quick and positive, I feel confident shopping at Lakeland Leather, online or in store. The products are very good, uptodate styles, well made and never had a problem washing anything always stays in shape. Prices are a little higher than I would like to pay but I would rather pay than the quality go down. Stay in the Beverley store are polite and friendly and willing to help and advise.”

“Have been looking for a leather jacket for a while. I came across the shop in Beverley, the many different styles & sizes gave me lots to choose from. The staff were very friendly & helpful. It was nice to be able to go into a shop & try things on instead of constantly returning goods online that do not fit. I bought a lovely kitty jacket which was true to size & fits very well, the quality was also excellent l. Also the sleeve length was excellent unlike some which are far too long. I would definitely recommend Lakeland Leather to anyone looking for good quality leather goods at a very good price.”

“What a delight to be able to give my order to Georgina who was brilliant from start to finish with handling my order. It is so rare these days to receive such a pleasant experience when making a purchase. I am 92 years old and remember the days of courtesy and service.......afraid those days have long since disappeared....but not at Lakeland Leather..... Shall certainly continue looking at your website and have recommended it to my daughter and granddaughter. Also have two Great Granddaughters!!!!!!! Wishing you a successful year. “Really pleased with the sheepskin slippers I bought recently, which are as cosy as I'd hoped for. The only disappointment (and it was a significant one) was finding they were made in China. I believed I was buying a British product made in the Lake District and there is nothing in the product details on the website to indicate otherwise. In truth, I would have made the purchase from the other company I looked at, given that it makes its products in Somerset. I hope Lakeland have a rethink. I feel sure many other customers might share my thoughts on this point.”

“After visiting the Beverley, East Riding store I was treated quite appallingly by the shop manager who barked out 'Have you sanitised! on entering ,I had, thinking she must be talking to someone else I ignored this, she barked across the shop even louder HAVE YOU SANITISED! no politeness no finesse. Now lets be clear on this I am in complete agreement with these restrictions for staff and customer safety, what I will not put up with is this kind of rudeness and embarrassment especially when you are a potential buyer in their premises, there is a way of dealing with this situation, politely! This manageress should, I hope, be severely reprimanded for this behaviour. I told her to forget it, my wife and I have spent a considerable amount of money in the Beverley store, not anymore.”

“Because I wanted to make sure I was ordering the correct size I made several email enquiries which were promptly answered considering the current climate we are in. When I received my jacket I was more than highly delighted with the quality of the item. Also delivery was next day. Bit of advice, if ordering a leather jacket make sure you order leather care kit at same time to avoid delivery charges if you order care kit only afterwards.”
