“My jacket arrived as promised. Everything about it is exactly what I wanted so I'm really pleased. The only downside was that, a day after receipt, Lakeland sent me a discount offer - 20% off leather jackets! Talk about rubbing the salt in.”

“I am very pleased with the lovely leather cross body bag - the leather feels and looks good, and it's very well designed with so many useful pockets. I feel a bit mean about reducing the stars over packaging, and having looked up your site, I do understand the need for anonymity presumably to avoid it being stolen en route. However, it is a nice quality product and I do feel that your rather nasty cheap packaging (2 thin plastic bags) lets your brand down. A plain recyclable cardboard box or thick paper (see Seasalt bags) would look a lot better and would protect the product inside too. Currently, if something pierced that packaging en route, it would go straight through to the leather and scratch it.”

“Very pleased with the quality of the jacket I bought. The quality of the product deserves five stars. The same however cannot be said of the quality of service in your Southport store where the customer clearly comes second to the convenience of the staff. Hence my refusal to put money through their till and my online purchase.”

“A well-made leather holdall its size quite voluminous. As a weekend bag, it would have to be a long weekend . Good strong fittings. Smart looks. The leather is not as shinny as photos, but it is a good deep brown colour. Would like to have seen a additional strap across the zip. I think it will give me years o service.”

“I was impressed by the choice of goods on the website and ordered a navy blue leather bag. A bag was duly delivered, well packaged etc but, unfortunately it was a black one! I phoned regarding this matter, and was emailed a return label etc. i returned the black bag and eventually received the correct order. This is the reason for 4 rather than 5 stars. I am well pleased with my new navy blue bag.”

“Pleased with the speed of delivery of 2 bags as well as the style and quality, however, the zips have proven to be a bit of a problem as the tail end on one bag was sticking up like a scorpion about to attack and the second bag the tail end was tucked in which which made closing the zip very difficult. I think the zips are too long.”

“Scarsdale brown leather overnight bag. Very well made quality leather item. Not the greatest capacity but zips are very strong so stuffing it to the brim was fine. Shoulder strap very well made and easy to clip on and off. Would buy again.”

“Items ordered are of very high quality despite the very good prices - shipment seemed a little slow with the "ready for shipment" notice on the account showing for a few days but no reason why - would not put me off buying again though as very happy with the quality of the leather and design of the bags i ordered - I shall be the envy of other travellers.”
