“Genuine leather at a reasonable price fast service from retailers but slow service from dpd arrived 1 day later than should have done”

“The Farlam handbag is very nice and (almost) exactly what I wanted. However, it needs a magnetic stud in the middle of the front pocket to stop the front pocket from gaping and also to prevent things falling out.”

“My husband treated me to an aviator-style sheepskin jacket for my birthday. Delivery was super speedy - the jacket arrived within 24 hours of ordering. Very good quality and fit. The only slight criticism is that colours when buying online are not always reliable. Although my jacket was correctly described as "charcoal grey", it looked more blue-ish in the online images.”

“Ordered the leather care kit for a biker jacket I was given for Christmas. The clean and protect set arrived really promptly Easy to apply and buff off Definitely recommend the products and now have a lovely jacket to wear that's protected. (Cleaning kit also includes protector and ink stain remover -hopefully I'll not need it!)”

“The slippers came up a bit small so I had to return them for the next size up but the staff were lovely and the replacements came very quickly. They are lovely, well made and warm but I was slightly disappointed to see that they were made in China when I thought I was buying British. Having said that they are fab and would certainly recommend them.”

“After struggling to find a normal handbag and purse for a present I was pleased to find Lakeland’s selection- good quality, sensible prices. Slight glitch in that wrong colour -dark navy bag instead of black. I didn’t have time to change when I realised, though I have no doubts they would have as initial service very prompt.”

“The first jacket I bought was sized at 14 but I would say was a size 10. When I phoned to say I wasn’t happy about having to pay return postage on something that patently was not the size I needed I was told that the jacket was ‘slim fitting’! But eventually I got pre paid return. I liked the jacket so phoned a second time to ask for measurements. Firstly to Windermere …they couldn’t help me as they didn’t have the jacket in stock, secondly to York…who didn’t have it in stock but said they would phone the central depot and size it for me. Someone phoned me from the central hub and could not have been more helpful. She measured a size 18 jacket and I ordered it! It fits…I am a size 12-14…the Thea jacket is obviously wrongly sized but thank you to the women in York and at your office who were so helpful”

“Ordered ladies leather gloves and the right one was very tight to get on, but I thought it would stretch as they were leather. Three weeks later I was fed up struggling with it and then discovered that the top of right glove was smaller than left. Called the number on my invoice and a most unhelpful lady answered. Told me I couldn’t return them because they’d been worn. I mentioned the difference in size and that it was obviously a fault. She said I could try returning them to customer services but mentioned again that I’d worn them. I sent them recorded delivery and 2 days later I received an email advising me that my postage had been reimbursed and they a new pair of gloves were being dispatched. Thank you customer services. Score would have been higher if person answering the phone had been a little bit more helpful.”

“The jacket itself is first class, very high quality and fits very well. However, the couriers' service left a LOT to be desired - it took 3 attempts to get the goods delivered and their service in sorting it out was abysmal. Lakeland did try to help but with little result. It was a great shame as the courier experience rather detracted from what was, otherwise, a great product.”

I would like to ask if your leather products are all made locally to you, and in the UK. This was one of my main reasons for choosing Lakeland over many other outlets.
