The automatic emails came promptly regarding payments due/deposit returned etc however with unscheduled queries the response times tended to be slow. However, I appreciate that it has been a particularly busy time during the covid pandemic with changes constantly needed to the usual processes.

The initial book was slightly frustrating as the website showed availability for certain properties but then when we went to book the house wasn’t available.

Some great places on the platform and the correspondence/communication was really informal and pleasant. Would and already have recommended the site to friends and family.

They were great at suggesting properties that fitted our group's budget and needs. Very good at keeping in touch and making sure we had the rooms set up as we needed nearer the time.

Friendly reception though not always as efficient as could have been. Email queries elicited an admirably quick response but with a good deal of 'cut and paste' and not always an answer to the query ! Having been asked which rooms we would like made up as twins or doubles, the K&T website plans did not mirror those from Kingham Cottages (which numbers the rooms). Unfortunately we ended up with a different configuration in Kite's Gate Cottage - not the end of the world but I had intended an older member of the group to be in the larger room with en suite. Nevertheless it was helpful to have a good choice of larger properties from one organisation and we were delighted with Kingham.

Prompt replies to all my queries and booking needs. Only one thing to look at which is - is it necessary to put down all the ages for the adult members of the group, I can understand the kids but not the adults.

Kate and Tom's were communicative and very pleasant to deal with. Venue-wise, the accommodation we chose was presented beautifully and met every expectation. In the guest pack, a couple of the links to caterers and later the contact details provided for housekeeping were out of date, so perhaps these could be reviewed, but overall the admin went smoothly. There were lovely extra touches, like sending us a memory book for the bride with a personalised note, and leaving some fizz in the fridge to welcome us. Thank you for a wonderful experience!

Valley House was a fantastic building and everyone had a great time. We did however have a few concerns that could be easily rectified. There was a problem with flies. Whilst we accept that Zoe had limited control over the matter, we felt she could have done more to alleviate the problem, such as a fly screen at the door, fly papers and deep clean in case the flies were coming from somewhere in the house. The windows and roof in the kitchen area was also full of dead flies which looked unpleasant and was unhygienic. This window also leaked when it rained. The freezer was too small for the number of guests and was totally inadequate. The TV router had broken the day before we arrived and we were told everyday it would be arriving that day, it didn’t arrive until Wednesday and caused a few issues as it was needed for work purposes by a number in the party. No basic TV channels eg BBC1 could be watched all week as the satellite dish was not working. The TV also had a fault in it and broke when the router arrived. Zoe did replace it with a small TV on the Wednesday. The placemats were ill matched and there were only about 8 cardboard drinks coasters from a pub which spoilt the dining experience in the grand dining room. Zoe offered the use of her washing line (which should be a basic essential for a house of 16) however the field where it was was full of dog excrement which smelt unpleasant and made hanging up the washing difficult. The dryer worked inefficiently, even when the filter was cleaned. Whilst there was enough crockery, many of the plates were tired and needed replacing. The surface of most of them was grey with use. In conclusion, the house was poor value for money because the level of comfort and quality of experience was below what you would reasonable expect for over £2000 per week. We would not recommend this property and anticipate your response.
