“Booking was made without hassle just would like it clearer that you book all the rooms including flat and suite wasnt clear to me”

“Everyone at Kate and Toms was really helpful and I loved how informative the website is. My only niggles were that sometimes it took a while for someone to get back to me about my questions (I often had to chase) and the fact that you have to pay two deposits isn't made entirely clear. Overall though, I was happy with the service they provided and that everything in the house was as promised - I'd love to try out more houses on their books!”

“Staff generally responsive to queries and helpful - eg when we couldn't get an order from Tesco, they told us where to use instead”

“Great location with good facilities on the estate and easy reach to loads of Lake District attractions. We were disappointed about the lack of recycling facilities, especially given the rural surroundings and importance of environmental sustainability. Some of the internal locks to the bathrooms did not work. We had enquired before we went about whether the TV had a HDMi cable and did not get a reply from the contact provided and had to go through Kate and Tom's offices to get this question answered - as we wanted to take our laptop to connect to the TV. K & T said they had checked and there was no HDMi lead. However, when we arrived we discovered there was a HDMi cable connection and cable. Good over all, but in need of a few communication improvements and definitely recycling please.”

“Lovely large and characterful house for a family party of different generations. We had some problems with the catering;- Both cookers had illegible dials - it was very difficult to set either of them; the control slipped on one, and a turning dial was also missing. Dishwasher in kitchen was faulty. No plug in sink. Poor taps. Bedroom curtains and blinds need attention. Electrics in kitchen were not adequate for the numbers of people in the house. When trying to reheat caterers hotplates (2) we were unable to cook pizzas for the children which made a special meal very difficult. Bedroom 5 has a very poor mattress and pillows. Shower hose was leaking badly at the connection. Summing up - a most enjoyable weekend, but the house needs some attention!!”

“We had some issues with our initial booking being accepted, paid for and then later, cancelled, which was a real shame. Other than that the service has been good”
