I felt the process, to renew my policy, was very good. The person, who dealt with me, enabled me to easily complete the transaction. I have not had to use my policy in my current year other than requirements for some of the trips I have undertaken.

Today I chose Just Travel Insurance to purchase cover , having kept details on what services they offer. I wanted a worldwide annual ( with pre existing medical conditions, which it clearly state , it offers) cover. I went on line and as I was filling in the details, one of their chat icons appeared on the bottom right corner. Clicked on it said what I wanted , only to be told , they cannot do that on line. So I retrieved my form and continued filling in, giving every bit of personal detail being requested on the questionnaire. Took me over and hour. Then pressed submit. Guess what! Sorry we are unable to provide your with a quote…..blah …blah….blah. So I rang the phone number which appeared at the top of the page. First person answers, asks my name , date of birth and address. Told her what happened to my request for a quote online. She then said she’ll put me through to sales department. Then music playing for a few second. Then …hey up! I got cut off. A few seconds later she rang me back and apologised for cutting me off and put me back to sales. Another lady replies and asks for the same personal details I gave to the first lady. I again explained how I wasted over an hour of giving all my personal details online only to be told I cannot get a quote……no reasons given. So she told me that it is because of my medical conditions and my age,,,😡😡 and the fact that I opted for the maximum 93 days per trip. .It advertises about providing all these. Yet when completing the form, there is nowhere where it says you will be declined for such and such reasons. This Travel Insurance company is appalling and people who are over 70 , have pre existing medical conditions and want to go on a long Summer holiday for up to 93 days, steer clear. It seems this company is not only ageist but also discriminates against those who are unfortunate enough to suffer medical conditions. I had not tried them before but now I know what they are like . It was a waste of time , effort and highly stressful. For the peace of mind, avoid Just Travel Insurance cover. They are not worth the hassle. Poor customer service, appalling enquiry/ quote request system . Utterly disappointed. Not even worth giving 1 star.

Hello, Thanks for leaving a review. We can provide cover up to 93 days for people of all ages and we do provide cover for pre-existing medical conditions. However, every insurer has different terms and exclusions, so it does depend on age, medical history, destination (if annual it depends on Europe vs worldwide) etc. Thank you for using our live chat - this is in place to assist answering any queries by a real person. I have checked the transcript from the chat, where the advisor explained you are able to get quotes online or over the phone - at this stage we did not know the details of the quote (e.g. worldwide, 93 days, and any pre-existing medical conditions). Had we known these, we would have certainly explained whether any of our insurers could /could not have provided cover. Thanks also for your feedback on the phone service - I'm glad we called you back in a few moments and verified your details on both occasions - security is of utmost importance to us, especially when it comes to sensitive information like medical history. Whilst we can not offer cover on an annual basis on this occasion, we may well be able to help with a single trip quote, but we'd need to feed these details into our systems to see if our insurers can offer a policy. The whole process of insuring my wife and myself was easy and more pleasant than I expected. Our thanks are due to Kayleigh who, with her helpful manner and professional knowledge, kept in touch with us when we had to interrupt the later stages of the insuring process. She is the person you hope to get and we were lucky to get her to help us to completion of the insurance.

Website easy to navigate. Phoned to clarify the details of an offer which was easily dealt with. It would be helpful on the out of hours recorded message to state the office opening hours.

It was fine, I had to phone an advisor but she dealt with my questions okay. I'd also had a quote from another travel insurance company. My main difficulty was trying to work out the differences of the 2 policies, the layout of the 2 websites.
