Miffed off that no discount was offered, I’m NHS , but also online you were offered a discount with NewYear9 , I could not complete quote online due to my health disclosures, it might only be 10% but it all helps,,, other than that it was all good

I took out 2 policies with you last year at what I regarded as reasonable prices. Therefore I understandably came back to you for the first of my holidays abroad at the end of January 2023. I was surprised at the seeming price increase. I paid circa £62 for 10 nights in Crete in the summer but 7 nights in Gran Canaria has cost me nearly £90. Can you explain/justify this. This kind of increase only encourages people to look elsewhere which in essence is not good business !!!

Annual travel insurance premium price was good so applied, but on checking the purchased policy documents, found cancellation cover was not included - apparently I had clicked do not cover cancellation!? - and I emailed my query. They rang back pretty quickly but I was told it would be extra, which would take it to the price my current provider quoted for another year. I could not see why anyone would check the do not cover cancellation box (and I certainly was not aware that I had) and I was promised a call back at 9am the following morning to discuss my options. This did not arrive, and at 9.20am I had to call them - and although the matter was dealt with swiftly, and cancellation would give me a full refund, this of course meant I had to look for another insurance provider, as I just was not sure about the level of customer service I would receive if anything did go wrong, as well as having to pay more for the cover I thought I'd purchased. Happily, I found one elsewhere at the same price as the original cost of the above policy.

I have investigated this further for you and can see you called our office at 09:10AM. You call was scheduled for 9AM but due to high call volumes we were running slightly behind schedule. We are an independent broker with many insurers on our panel. Once we take your details we compare prices from these insurers – the rates/prices we provide are set by the insurers themselves and can vary depending on a number of factors. Our online site does give you the option to exclude cancellation or baggage as sometimes this can reduce the cost. I am sorry to hear that our product did not suit your needs. It's OK but as a returning customer I have to input all my medical details (that you already should have) again - very tedious.

If your previous medical screening was completed more than 30 days ago, it is our procedure to go through a medical screening again. This is due to any possible changes in our questions and to ensure we are capturing any change in health that may have occurred I can see your previous policy was quoted on the 30/05/2022, which is why you are required to complete this again. Tried to renew online but the link takes you right back to a new, and very long, application process. Gave up and phoned them instead. Call answered relatively quickly but even with the 10% loyalty bonus, the quote was a huge increase on last year's premium. Was in a hurry so accepted it, after a long telephone conversation answering questions, but next year will shop around.

On receipt of documents discovered policy document 57 pages!! Needs to be condensed so that it can be understood by purchasers

Reasonably easy to organise online. Price difference between and 2 day and a 3 day trip seems rather excessive. My opinion of any insurance provider is always how they deal with a claim, so I can't make any further comments.

Took out insurance with very helpful lady. Was told that I could get it on email. However when logging in all I could get was the quote. Stated no policy. I had to ring again and I asked for a paper copy. Still waiting for delivery.

We usually advise to allow 3-5 days to receive your documents however this may take longer than usual due to the Royal Mail strikes. Easy to set up, helpful staff. Didn't need to use it so can't comment on claims process or efficiency. Expensive but they gave me insurance when others would not (outstanding biopsy - turned out to be clear)

Their policy might come recommended by major players in the cruise business but they obviously don't employ sufficient staff to manage the demand. It took 2 calls and a callback before I could speak to anyone qualified to deal with my enquiry. This resulted in a large part of my day being tied up. If this was a first time request they probably would not be getting my business! On the positive side they provided a genuine loyalty discount as this was a renewal.

I rang Just Travel on the number given by ROL but had difficulty getting through to an agent who could deal with my request. However, when I was told that I could purchase cover through the website I had more success and got what I wanted. It would have been more helpful if ROL had given me the website address in the first place.

Good value insurance cover, but if you are unable to complete the application online it takes a few phone calls to speak to the correct person. I did receive call backs as promised but it wasn’t convenient to take the calls. I have been assured that in the event of an adverse incident happening requiring a claim that there is a direct help line.

They are very quick at taking your money, it’s a shame they are not as quick to pay out when you have to make a claim, especially when they don’t have the correct claim forms to fill in, for a missed ports on cruise insurance.

After inserting all my details, including medical, I was given a number of quotes reading from low to high which was fine but then I was offered two discounts, one for 9% and one for 10% which I found bizarre and when I phoned to accept a quote the telephone sales rep. could not explain this so obviously I took the 10%. Otherwise I was very happy with the transaction. Only thing I had a problem with was when I had a problem retrieving my documents I decided to deal with it on live chat when half way through explaining my problem the live chat ended. I am 74years old and not a very fast typist and as such the online chat person should allow us just a bit more time to write our request, after all she must have seen that I was still writing by the the moving 3 dot icon. The other reason for using live chat was I was held 25 mins on the phone for a query which couldn’t be answered on FAQ’s.
