“I have only given good for the facts, as follows, I have no bad comments on Jackson Woodturners because they have been very helpful and friendly. My complaint is with the standard of The Burbidge Stairs parts, The Newel Base is a different colour than the other 2 pieces and is badly gouge near the top on one side, I will have to try and stain this item, but it cannot be filled in because that will make it look worse. So that is the cause of my comments. Regards Mrs O Ramshaw”

“I ordered a couple of plain hemlock Newel Posts because this seemed the best way of obtaining timber of the dimensions needed for other woodworking purposes. They arrived well protected as expected. Unfortunately I found that the posts are not a single solid piece of hemlock, but a composite of smaller sections neatly covered by a thick veneer. This may be suitable for staircases provided no carved incisions are desired. However, for aesthetic reasons, shaping of the timber cannot be carried out without exposing the irregular textures of the interior of the posts. So unfortunately my purchase is useless for my intended purpose - but may be ok as Newel Posts.”

“Contacted Jacksons after being let down by a local firm to where i live. Absolute profesionalism from the start and nothing to much trouble. it is said that sometimes the best test for a company is how they deal with a complaint. Well, i did have to have to register a moan as 3 of the items i ordered arrived damaged, but my call was met with concern and corrected without quibble within 48 hours. Perfect. “My review would have been 5 star but for the fact that Jackson's have been very badly let down by their carriers TNT who firstly lost the parcels and then when they found them failed to deliver on the morning of the next working day as they had promised. Jackson Woodturners have given superb service, their website is good and easy to use, ordering on line was simple and efficient. when I rang to chase my goods they were very courteous and efficient. They dealt with the transport companies mess up, ringing back when they said they would to keep us fully informed. The goods themselves are excellent quality. Highly recommended.”
