The pigs ear handrail does not include any fixings. The invoice was not received online until the day of receiving the handrail, which I would have preferred receiving at the time of ordering. I was not able to track the item which meant I had to rely on the delivery date given at time of ordering. These points are mentioned so you can improve your modus operandii.

Great quality product and packaged well but not impressed that the delivery/courier did not ring the doorbell and goods were left on the front doorstep leaving my wife having to get a neighbour to carry the goods indoors as too heavy for her to lift. The goods could have so easily been stolen.

I am sorry to hear that you were unhappy with the courier service and that your wife was left to carry the heavy goods indoors. Good products at competitive prices, but some issues with the shipment; one package out of 3 was returned by the courier to Jacksons for some unknown reason and one item was missing from the original shipment. This was quickly resolved by Jacksons but did delay my progress

Good morning, We appreciate your feedback. We always strive to work with our couriers to achieve timely deliveries, although there are times when the courier is unable to deliver for one reason or another. The product was exactly what I needed. The website wasn’t brilliantly helpful as there weren’t enough pictures or dimensions for me to completely check compatibility but I took a chance and it paid off. I’ve only given 3 stars because shipment was extremely slow and as much as the product cost. If I’m going to have to spend almost £8 on shipping I expect it to arrive within 48 hours not a week later.

Good mornig Stephen, I am sorry that you were unhappy to have spoken to more than one staff member. We do have 3 staff working within the sales department and if your original operator is off or with another customer we like to think that all our opertaors can pick up from where a colleague left off. We trust you were happy with the final result. We are of course, always happy to receive feedback.

I was initially interested to use your bespoke service as I had a recommendation from my joiner Molly wasn't able to help. Kim offered a service for wood only which isn't what I'm after I noticed that your showroom offered steel and glass which was what I thought you could offer? Bit disappointed 😞

I’ve had trouble with Jackson woodturners previously, so I bought these items from a different online source. I was disappointed to then find out that was just Jackson woodturners under another name but it was too late to do anything about it…. Now I think even less of them than before.

Three stars indicates that although the bannister I purchased arrived very well wrapped in bubble wrap and thick polythene, there were several dents which obviously preceded packing. Therefore quality control in the handling of the goods prior to packing needs to be more rigorously implemented.

I am very sorry to hear this Anthea. We do have a 2 stage packing system which we record to allow us to check for any faults/errors etc. For future reference, we are happy to receive feedback as soon as you find any fault at which point we would be happy to investigate and rectify at the time. Good prices. Fast delivery and Excellent customer service. Unfortunately spindle got scratches in transit. Parcel was completely smashed like someone put under the heavy stuff.

Hello Paul. I was very sorry to hear of your dissatisfation with the timing of your delivery. I can see from the tracking that all 4 of your parcels left our building at 5.58pm on 06.03. It seems there was some delay once they had reached the DX depot. It is rare that our courier of choice is late with deliveries unless there was some unforeseen circumstance on the day. Please accept our apologies on behalf of the courier on this occasion. I am extremely happy, however, that you are pleased with the product and I thank you for that feedback.

The handrail, fittings and ordering process were all good with stairparts online. However, all the problems started with the delivery and the incorrectly named courier called DX (Deliver Exactly!). There was quite a delay between the ordering and delivery dates, but I’d factored that into the installation. Text from DX confirmed delivery day as Monday between 08:00 and 18:00. On the Monday, 1 or 2 parcels delivered, but they “couldn’t find the 4.2m handrail”, so that would “come tomorrow” DX delivery tracker confusingly showed 1 of 2 loaded and 2 of 2 delivered! The handrail did NOT turn up next day. In fact, it didn’t arrive until Wednesday of the following week, meaning appointments were missed. The lack of ownership and sense of urgency to resolve the problem from Jackson’s was very disappointing. Communications were really poor with some emails and voicemails not being responded to. Meaning I was having to ensure someone was home for a potential delivery between 08:00 and 18:00 for over a week. It really shouldn’t be that hard to get stuff delivered.

Hello David. I was very sorry to hear of your dissatisfaction with the delivery of your items recently. I can see from the tracking that your parcels left our building on 03.03 at 17.56. I can then see that there was some delay and mix up when the items were received by DX. We are reliant upon our couriers to to deliver all parcels and on time. Although this was out of our control, I certainly do not want to give you the impression of us not owning the problem and not giving the issue the urgency that it deserves. So, please accept ourt apologies for your experience on this occasion. I have attempted to trace the e mails to which you refer but was unable to trace them. We do attempt to answer all emails and phone calls as promptly as possible and all staff are trained in resolving any issues as quickly and efficiently as possible to ensure all our customers are satisfied with the result.

Everything you need but if you just want a single item you are crippled by delivery charge which makes you want to go elsewhere along with the fact that VAT is not shown until checkout so the price goes up considerably again making you look elsewhere.

Our prices are shown on the website with VAT applied. We offer a sliding scale on our postage charge which can be view on the website prior to ordering and is automatically applied when you go to your basket, before you checkout. If an item is not held in stock then it should say so on the website along with an estimate of how long it takes Jackson Woodburners to receive the item and then deliver it. This would help when customers are planning delivery date & time and arranging workmen to fit the item.

Order correct and delivered on time. Only disappointment came when unpacking, wood arrived really well packaged so unable to check for damage whilst impatient delivery driver waited! On un packing several pieces were dented, no corresponding dents in packaging so can only assume it was dispatched like that. Disappointing as stair parts are really visible .

Jackson Woodturners are very good, material/items absolutely fine, bit dusty obviously on the shelf a while, but no problem, but you were let down by delivery. As I paid for delivery on Tuesday, with my wife staying in all day, I was very annoyed that delivery didn't take place until the Wednesday without any contact on the Tuesday to inform of the delay, and without any explanation on delivery.
