“Just the kind of shopping experience that makes me feel good. Friendly personal and knowledgeable staff. Efficient simple order process and fantastic glasses arrived in 10 days. The product is brilliant and most of all I love the feeling of buying from a young imaginative business who have thought clearly about their vision and are delivering it. Hope the ‘family business’ feel is never lost with inevitable expansion and the staff remain enthusiastic and engaged.”

“I needed new glasses but more than that, I needed a bit of an uplift. I'm fifty-three and my hair is going grey - the last thing I wanted was boring glasses on top! Iolla had so many lovely styles to choose from. If I'd had any worries about not being able to try on my glasses because of Lockdown, they were absolutely swept away with the ability to try them on virtually - it really does work. My glasses arrived very promptly and I'm thrilled with them - I've had so many lovely comments from friends and family and the quality of the materials is just lovely. Everything from the solidity of the Campbell frame to the neatly capped ends on the arms and the really nice case they came in is a delight. I particularly liked the personal touch of having my name handwritten on the box that they came in. And of course there's the colour which frankly was the main driver for me. Love, love, love it. Thank you Iolla!”

“Very welcoming & knowledgable. Very chilled in store and clean, felt very covid-safe. Lovely staff. Efficient and quick to place my order and it was delivered to my home address a few days sooner than was advised, so I was very happy with that!”

“Fantastic selection of frames, something to suit everyone. The staff are very helpful, welcoming and well trained. Felt very (COVID) safe during my appointment. My glasses arrived safely in the post quicker than expected and they fit beautifully. Couldn’t be happier.”

“I have always found Iolla staff to be helpful but especially so recently, when it took 3 attempts to get my varifocal prescription right. But we got there in the end. Everyone was patient and helpful. So thank you, I’m delighted with my glasses.”

“The service in the Edinburgh shop was excellent, helpful without being pushy. I like your simple pricing system without gimmicks. All of these deserve 5 stars. My only criticism, which brought my rating down to 4, was your lack of bold simple purple or red frames”

“There was a good range to choose from. Nice layout. The staff were pleasant. Unfortunately my only issues are things out of the shops control which I can appreciate. (Covid) it was hard to judge how frames looked with a mask on. They kindly said I could go outside to take my mask off and they gave me a mirror, but it was small so I had to hold it at arms length to see my full face and without my glasses it was still hard to judge. They did offer their opinion on what they think looked best from the selection I had. Also had 30 mins booked to browse which put a bit of pressure on me (once again it's my own issues, as I struggle with low self-esteem so can be indecisive. I normally like a friend to be with me but I know that's not possible in these times) It was really helpful that they offered delivery. Came well packaged. Frame feels a little off/out of shape from the ones I tried (I can feel my left eyelashes squished on the lens) so I think they need adjusted? which they did mention I can come back for, but I'll wait until restrictions have lifted. It was a lovely wee shop, it's just that with covid happening it made things a little awkward. But thank the staff for doing the best they can with what they are given!”

We completely agree things are strange at the moment and we are doing our best to keep our showroom experience as easy and safe as possible, but we totally appreciate it can be harder to choose glasses at the moment than it normally would be. We're so sorry to hear your frames don't feel quite right. We'd never see a customer stuck with glasses they don't love so we've sent you a follow up email to help set up an adjustment appointment.

“Lovely service in difficult times. Due to Covid rules I had to wear a mask in the shop, but the assistant was kind enough to give me a small hand mirror (which had been sanitised) so I could pop out the front door the remove my mask to see what I really looked like with the glasses in. There was a very small query I had about my order after I got home (name of colour of specs different to what I thought). Sent an email, I received a reply quickly giving a clear explanation...correct order, wrong name on form. All sorted super fast with friendly manner.”
