“I ordered a bulk bag of 20mm limestone which was delivered on 16 July. When I came to use this I found that there was a substantial amount of sand in with this. Please see attached photo. Luckily the area where I most used this wasn't readily visible, although I did have to selectively pick through some of the non sandy gravel to use in certain areas. I don't know why this happened but it is annoying and very disappointing.
I emailed the branch and got the following reponse:
Apologies for this. I can only assume there must have been loose product at the end of the bay and the limestone has been contaminated when the operator has bagged it with the bucket. Do you require anymore material ?
I don't need any more materials at this time and so was told "Next time you require any materials, please contact me (Darren) directly and I will compensate you in the value of the purchase."”
