“Used the online service to select and order some timber for a small garden project. Delivered in 4 days, driver very helpful unloading, timber in good condition, no issues using for intended purpose. Would use again.”
“Ordered stone chipings online. Got immediate confirmation . Given 3 to 7 days for delivery. Was expecting an email or phone call to confirm a date, but the lorry just turned up without prior notice. Not a problem for me as was in. Delivery driver was very polite and helpful, put the stones exactly as wanted.. overall a good service”

“In terms of quality of the wood, excellent. Getting it was the issue. I would recommend not using the online click and collect system. I ordered through the website, went to collect and was told the items I had ordered were not in stock. This meant me having to drive an extra 25 miles to.collect my order. I was told that the store i was driving to would be notified i was coming, they weren't.
When I actually got to the new store, I found everyone to be extremely helpful. It was just a shame the online click and collect system doesn't work.”

“Two deliveries and both fairly satisfactory. I bought some tongue and grove boards, bit disappointed that some of the tongues were broken and a few of the boards were split. They happened to be at the end so were lost to off cuts, so not a major issue. Some sub base bags split, but I had a free one thrown in to make up for the lost product - that was good to see.
Delivery times are a little vague. Wouldn’t mind a text or email to give the day of delivery. I get that times are difficult, but if it’s 3 to 5 days I would like to around. Delivery was quick though in 48hour. Great, but it was only luck that I hadn’t gone out. Drivers have been friendly and efficient on all occasions.
I like this firm. It’s local and has a good amount of stock. I will use again.”
“Not used the gravel yet and my only complaint would be some communication as to when it was to be delivered. Driver called 10 mins prior to delivery and I didn't even know it was arriving that day.”

“As a first time visitor to howarth timber I found the signage a bit confusing as I was told to go to the carpark and I only found this out by asking an operative, after which I drove through the pick up area and eventually found the carpark.On entering the shop I was given some paperwork and told to go back out to the drive through pick up area and give the paperwork to an operative to get the item.On doing this I was then told by the operative to go back into the shop and complete the paperwork,as my car was in the carpark I had to carry the item back into the shop to complete the paperwork. I think this system is very long winded and should be simplified especially for a non trade person like myself, also the signage needs improving.”
“Ordering/ creating an account was straightforward and the products arrived within the specified timeframe. Products were as expected and the delivery driver was really helpful and polite.
The only criticism I would have is that there was no confirmation of delivery date at least 24 hours in advance, making it challenging to make arrangements for bulk items to be safely received.”
