“Ordered 2x 18mm and 1x 6mm hardwood ply boards. I didn't receive delivery updates so was out when delivered; the driver just left them on my driveway where they could have been rained on, etc. I have to say this was the worst quality ply I've ever worked with and I tend to buy from B&Q! (to make workshop furniture), it splits easily, the edges and corners were damaged, so lost at least a couple of inches off each side. Extremely thin vinyl which was also damaged. Never again.”

“Ordered a bulk bag of 20mm gravel. Expected from the website for it to take a few days for delivery but was pleasantly surprised to be contacted by phone within 24 hours to arrange delivery for the day after that. Delivery was at the expected time and put exactly where I needed it. Price was also the best as the local delivery cost was very reasonable, unlike the charge from some of the big sheds. Would definitely recommend and would be my first port of call in future for bulky building supplies that I needed delivering.”

“As a complete novice woodworker I was somewhat anxious about embarking on my first project. But I jumped in and ordered my timber from Howarth online. Ordering was easy and when I called the store to discuss delivery times the manager was very pleasant.
I was out when the delivery arrived but after a quick chat on Ring the driver hauled the order into my back garden. When I arrived home I was impressed that the food was stacked on sleepers to minimise dirt contamination and protect my lawn too. It was covered with sheeting.
I was temporarily disturbed to see that some lengths were significantly shorter than most for each batch. However, upon measuring I pleased to see that every piece, including the “short” ones were comfortably longer than my order requested.
I will be back with another order for project number two…”

“I ordered 5 sheets of 2400mm x 1200 5.5mm plywood at 22.40 in the evening and was expecting delivery within 3/5 days, but to my surprise, it was delivered the next morning. (wrapped and undamaged)
So I can't fault Howarth Timber at all.”
