“Ordered four plants three of which arrived healthy, however, the same can't be said about the Phoenix canariensis. The soil, which was of very poor quality with nothing in it to provide aeration and drainage so the plant would have been bound for root rot had I not replanted it, was so dry I could hardly pierce the moisture meter into it. The lower, older leaves were completely dry (I've now removed these) and the ends of the new leaves are all brown. Also, the delivery guy was unhelpful, bordering rudeness, when I asked him to bring the plants up to the first floor where my flat is he went "why, these are just plants", tossed the box towards me and left without another word. Three stars though as the truth is the other three plants are very nice so I'm happy with those and delivery was extremely quick (the following day).”

“Lots and lots of choice, and one of the only places I can find the pot inners I need. Some of the pots feel a little expensive, but the plants are generally good value and the care guides excellent.”

“I'm now a huge fan and intend to buy most of my plants from Hortology in the future. The plants arrive on time, are well-packaged, and are in wonderful condition. Prices are reasonable (yes, you could get some of them cheaper elsewhere) but the range of plants is excellent and matching them to liners and pots is made easy, so great website, too.”

“I have never received any plants in such a state! I bought 3 echeveria types and all was beheaded, suffocated with plastic and tape! The replacement I received they only offered one and that replacement was in even worse shape. When I explained terrible the wrapping was I was essentially told I shouldn't expect perfect plants as they are delicate and their packing is flawless! Anyone who knows anything about delicatel succulents should know why plastic and tape squishing and all sorts is bad! If I could add more photos I would to show how bad all of the plants I received was! The photos will be my replacement and an email. Do not buy!”

Hello, Thank you for your order and review. We are really sorry to hear about your disappointment. We have resolved this by issuing a full refund for the damaged plants you have received. They are delicate plants but we do not expect to see them delivered damaged, we do our very best, with specialist plant trays and tried and tested packing techniques to pack plants to avoid any damage during transit and we sincerely apologise that this was not adequate on these occasions for the succulents ordered. The small amount of plastic tubing helps protect the plants, keep them secure and the soil contained should the plant go sideways at any point during transit and this is secured with as small amount of tape as we are able to avoid damaging the plant. We do sincerely apologise for the disappointment caused.
