Had 2 vertical blinds fitted just before Covid took hold. One was for our 3m wide bi fold doors in the lounge . One did the survey and another one fitted them. We looked @ blind when he had fitted it and pointed out that the bi folds opened from the left and the blind opened from the right! Obviously embarrassed, he said it had been ordered wrong and would get another one made. He returned from making a phone call and said it could be fitted the opposite way. We allowed this to go ahead, leaving holes from the original fitting procedure in the wall and reveal. I rang the service dept recently as the pleats in the large have never been set up right. 3 wks and several phone calls later we are no further forward. All we want are the pleats adjusted but Hillarys want £25, reduced from their normal fee of £35. Pity as i was thinking of ordering more blinds as they are of decent quality. Bob Newton, Norwich.

Very happy with my blinds in sitting room and bedroom, I also ordered roller blinds for my kitchen and toilet pleased also Martin the rep was so nice arrived at date and time and made a superb job hanging both my blinds happy customer.

I have had the most awful experience from start to finish with customer service. My fitter was excellent only. I first contacted Hilary's in February this year. My fitting was not until April whereby I paid for voiles and curtains upfront. My curtain fitting took place but it took over four months for my Voiles to arrive . In the meantime I was lied to about dates they would arrive over and over again. Only just over a week ago I was suddenly told they were out of stock, then three days later told they'd arrived after a four month wait. The phone calls to customer service were so stressful, 99 percent which I made, they never bothered to contact me, maybe once. Unfortunately one man annoyed me so much that I swore, this man immediately rang my fitter so unprofessional, to gossip about me. Then the victimisation began simply because I was distressed and swore. A woman in head office Emily has acted unprofessional critizing me , lying to my fitter about ringing me, he came last week and told me she was going to call me about a goodwill gesture, she did not, she didn't respond to my emails either all because I swore, I swore because of them . They all back each other up especially when it involves money. I'm semi disabled and highly distressed because of their ongoing lies and disrespectful attitude to me. I feel bullied. Don't whatever you do have anything to do with this company. They gang up on you when you complain, gossip and lie when ultimately it's their fault if you get angry. My fitter even joked and said to me they are probably too scared to ring me. This has been blown up out of proportion so as not to give me a Goodwill gesture. They are only concerned is to get as much money out of you as possible not give compensation at any cost, even though I spent 1,000 pounds on two small Windows attached message from fitter.

I would recommend you DON'T use this company! I ordered ivory curtains which came with a yellow/cream lining (which I did not request in fact I requested a light lining to match other curtains at the front of the house) it completely changes the colour of the curtains. Some of the curtains are too short too. After speaking to Customer Services and sending in photos I received an email from Hillarys saying they feel the curtains are satisfactory - which they clearly are not! I will be contacting them again as this is clearly not what was ordered.

I have asked to fix the length of the curtains since the day I could draw mine out, but they have never replied to my emails or texts, I am going to ask for a refund through my bank, and I don’t want to pay for that kind of installation at all. I paid almost £10000, and they just ignore you when you ask for fixing the length of the curtains which look miserable:

The blinds are good, pelmet’s not deep enough by far, you can see the workings underneath. The fitter not very helpful and charged £100 cash to fit two batons, we were told we had to take the rubbish away and he didn’t even hoover up his mess. Not what you would expect from the supposedly’Best’ in the business. Would not give my money to this company again.

Had a nightmare experience with Hillary’s. Their fitter scratched & damaged my brand new wooden floors. I sent a complaint and photos to Hillary’s but they refused to compensate me. The fitter’s job was a sham. He didn’t add one of the window dressings in a straight line. He didn’t finish the job in one day as he had promised to do. His behaviour in my home was rude. I wasted a lot of money (upfront payment) for a service and product which was a sham. I’ll be going to another company now to get window dressings for my home. I can’t believe I had this experience with Hillary’s. It caused me a lot of sleepless nights.

Wooden horizontal blinds fitted in 2017. The cord frayed and snapped 2022, unable to raise the blind, and have been told that it is out of guarantee and they do not repair. They will give me 10%discount if I buy another blind but as I paid over £150 for this blind I feel disinclined to do this. On this basis I will not be recommending Hillarys.

The fitter arranged to be with me for 9.00 am as I had to travel 200 miles in the afternoon for a meeting. I called in a couple of times after 11am for an update to no avail. I then contacted HO and they were also not able to make contact with him. Apparently he ticked up at 1.30pm no apology or explanation. Luckily my daughter was at home. Blinds fitted but not very well. I picked venitions and they do not block the light or close properly. Definitely would not recommend Hillary’s. Save your money and shop elsewhere

They didn’t deliver what they promised. I reached out to Hillarys to improve the darkness of my bedroom, and the sales guy told me I should replace my recently bought wave curtains to a new one. I believed in him, paid 1218 pounds for the new curtains, but they definitely don’t solve my problem as they said it would. Here are the pictures.

Poor service, I am stii waiting for my shutters to be fitted from 2nd March. I was promised a refund 2nd May - to be in my account within 7 days. I am still waiting.

Sales Rep was very good. That’s where it ends! Fitting service extremely upsetting process. Fitter was intimidating, not experienced, provided sub standard service and not what was expected of this company. Some blinds don’t fit, only one of six blinds purchased has been fully fitted. Four were left secured but not completed and one secured, not completed was measured poorly and does not fit. We have now waited 6 weeks for someone to contac us to confirm when the job will be finished. We have made numerous calls to the company to be told the job has been passed to a new team and someone would contact us to arrange next appointment and have hears nothing. We have also emailed the company only to be given the same response, someone will be in touch. I would not recommend Hillary’s to anyone.

I have had my blinds fitted 3 weeks ago they are shocking they don't close properly . I had a very rude person from hillary s at my door he was very rude to me. Im taking this to the consumer and I want a total refund ASAP.

Really terrible experience with ordering shutters from Hillarys. We waited 8 months for the shutters to arrive and for them to be fitted. When they finally arrived after a few cancelled appointments they did not fit. All through the 8 months, there was no proactive approach to keeping us updated on the awful process/situation and at every turn we had to contact them for an update. Hillarys did not attempt to contact us with a solution once the fitter confirmed to them that shutters were not the correct size and again we had to reach out to them for a refund of our deposit. Truly awful customer service and a company that over promises and under delivers. Would not recommend.
