**AVOID THIS COMPANY AT ALL COSTS** **AVOID THIS COMPANY AT ALL COSTS** Unfortunately there was not an option to leave zero stars. Complete shambles of a company and non-existant customer service. Ordered shutters in September and nearly 10 months down the line they still have not arrived (first attempt at fitting they realised the advisor had taken completely wrong measurements for all 4 windows). Despite repeated requests for Gareth our "account manager" to call me back (each time sitting on hold for 20-30 mins and repeating the same story to a different advisor) I have yet to speak to receive a single call or email from him since placing the order in September 2019. All the while they have been sat on my cash given the full balance was paid before the 1st failed installation.

Awful company to use! Do NOT use them. I ordered shutters and so many delays but was not contacted once by Hillarys,had to continually chase and chase and still no sign of the shutters. Every time I ring I get told a different things and just can’t trust them. What a waste of thousands of pounds when I could have used another company! BE WARNED

I ordered shutters for my living room and absolutely love them!! The advisor was incredibly knowledgeable and really helped me make the right decision. They were cheaper than the other two companies I had round too. They have transformed my room. I want them in every room now.

Since 5th October 2019 when I purchased shutters for the whole house I am still awaiting for them to be installed. Their surveyors/fitters simply could not measure correctly and have made mistakes 3 times so far. I have asked for a considerable compensation to be made but was offered a miserable £400 for the inconvenience which is not acceptable, it is downright inconvenient as my windows are covered with newspapers for some privacy. If I had any choice I would kick them out and ask for a total refund and be done with. I regret big time to have dealt with them in the first place as they have proved to be totally and utterly useless so far. On what grounds did they get their "high reputation" I fail to see. I WOULD NOT TOUCH THEM EVER AGAIN

I ordered blinds and curtains from Hillarys but, unfortunately, have found their service so far to be poor and the fitter they assigned to me, Riki, a complete waste of my time. After ordering, my original fit date was pushed back at short notice as they didn't have the parts ready. When Riki came for the fitting, he couldn't complete it as a part was missing which he hadn't checked. Worst of all, after he scheduled to return, he didn't show up for the appointment and didn't bother letting me know or apologise for wasting my time. Made worse still as I had been in text contact with him during the day to check he was coming. A poor and unprofessional attitude - and not what I expected from the bright and inviting marketing that Hillarys promotes. So I am left with an incomplete job and not a good one at that, as there are flaws I wanted him to put right. I wish I used somebody else. I have followed up with Hillarys and received a call that somebody else would call me to follow-up but, so far, no apology, explanation or follow-up call. A real let down all round. Understandably, there are more important things in the world right now but worth calling out bad work for when things settle.

We ordered shutters in September 2019 and expected to be fitted by Nov 20th 2019. Today is 24th March, shutters still not fitted and no formal response from Hillarys about what they plan to do about it, no refund either. Absolutely awful experience and very unprofessional!

We have used these people before and service satisfactory. This time we have been unable to get any help from the company since the day after fitting. Of the 3 sets of curtains fitted, one set over double doors did NOT meet in the middle so a gap was left between the curtains showing the door. The fitter returned to check his work and suggested redrilling the support holes to allow the curtains to meet. Absolutely not. We have just redecorated the room. He then said he would let the company know to remake them to the correct size. Next day the original salesman appeared without making an appointment, and began pulling the curtains together to make them meet! This was appalling behaviour and eventually we got him to admit they were wrong. He tried to bargain as to how much more material we would have added! We have now been on the phone 4times over the last few weeks and have been promised that the area manager will contact us within 24 hours. To no avail. We will now contact the credit card company to arrange for a refund of our money. This has been a shocking experience. No call back! No refund yet.

We ordered blinds and shutter through Hillarys in December 2019 with the promise if we agreed the deal we would have our blinds fitted before Christmas. What mugs we were. After agreeing the deal and paying the deposit we shortly learnt that we would not have blinds fitted before christmas, no explanation or apology. Our blinds were fitted in February and discovered that there is 1 blind missing which we are still waiting for now. Looks like it was missed off the order, again no explanation or apology and still unsure whe we will have it fitted despite chasing and no urgency from them considering it was there mess up. Our shutters were finally fitted yesterday. Our over experience with Hillarys has truly been awful. If I had known that they lie to get you to agree a deal I would of shopped around. The main reason we went with Hillarys is because we wanted blinds before christmas which was promised but never happened. I would of shopped around, got a better price and probably had them fitted much quicker. This company is awful and would recommend avoid at all costs. I would not recommend them to anyone and when asked who fitted our shutters I am vocal in telling people not to even bother with contacting Hillarys.

My kitchen window reveal has a ~2cm wide up-stand on either side. When it was fitted the fabric of the blind actually sits ~2cm in from the up-stand and therefore 4cm away from the wall (reveal) at each end. So it looks ridiculous with these gaps. The plastic end carriers that support and connect the blind to the top of the window reveal are also 2cm wide (and are not fitted neatly into the corners – they also sit 2cm away). If the sales guy had measured from wall to wall it would have fitted perfectly - all he had to do is to remove perhaps 1cm from that measurement. It's a schoolboy error to fail to even partially accommodate the width of the carriers. He did the same thing on the french doors. £636 for badly fitted blinds! Hillary's insist that it is fitted correctly and refuse to do anything about it - of course that would not be in their interest to do so. The first set of blinds that were in our study were measured perfectly, as were the Lounge vertical blinds on the second. I am frankly horrified by their lack of customer care. Shame on you Hillary's that you have zero respect for your returning customers. They actually called me later in the day telling me they had a sale on and as I'd recently had blinds fitted I might be interested?

Overall our experience with Hillarys has been awful, poor quality product, poor fitting and terrible customer service. We placed an order for wooden shutters for 3 windows in May 2019, fitting was arranged for the beginning of August. Full payment was taken before fitting. We had the shutters fitted and all 3 were fitted in the incorrect frames. In addition to this one window was fitted crooked, one window had a bowed door and the final window was completely measured wrong where the frame of the shutters was completely out of alignment with the windows. Although the fitter would have been aware of these he continued to fit in incorrect frames and not mention the mis alignment. On closer inspection there were chips and marks on all shutters and holes left showing where the frames were the incorrect ones for our windows. All in all, very poor quality. This was raised immediately with Hillarys customer service, it was then followed up by many emails and phone calls over many weeks, Hillarys were not interested and did nothing to sort the issues, promises of calls did not happen and we were just ignored. Finally, a dispute was raised with the credit card company and an independent inspection carried out which confirmed all the issue raised. It was only at this point that Hillarys finally contacted us. We then had to have more 2 visits by Hillarys before a full new order was placed, then another 12 week wait for them to be re fitted. On this occasion all 3 windows were replaced but one window had the splits on the doors completely wrong so again another order was placed. Where the frames were replaced there was decorative damage, no effort was made to repair this. 6 weeks later the doors arrived, these came without brackets and the fitter did not have the skills to fit these! We were told new doors would need to be ordered but then a few weeks later another fitter with more experience was sent to fit them. It was 7 months from the first fitting and 5 additional visits where we had to take time off of work before Hillary’s were able to complete this order. They have no interest in customer service or taking responsibility for mistakes, their only interest is getting the money. I have asked for contact details to raise a complaint higher than customer service but have been fobbed off each time, advised that he has spoken to his manager! All in all a very unpleasant and stressful experience, I would not order from Hillarys again, mistakes happen but this was one thing after the other and left us out of pocket from unpaid days at work to get the matter rectified.

TERRIBLE SERVICE! (But nice staff) I placed an order in December for blinds and today (10/3/20) I finally cancelled the order as once again the delivery date has been pushed back. Each time this information has only been passed on because I have been chasing Hillarys directly. The lovely people in customer service can only apologise for the poor communication and the continued delay, but there is no reason given for why they still don’t have the material in stock and you can forget about being offered a discount to compensate you for having to sit in a living room with no blinds for an additional 2 months and counting. Hillarys clearly train their staff well to be friendly and polite, but if you’re looking for a company that provides you with good end to end service within a reasonable time frame then they aren’t the company for you.

Cheap cardboard rubbish The sales rep advised a batten to be installed in around the bay, to my surprise on the day of installation I was told I had to supply the batten despite the expense so off we went to the local builder merchant for me to purchase a batten however badly fitted and the material is simply cardboard rubbish It is no use complaining to this company as they have no service quality intention but one of being rude talking down to customers and I would urge to stay away from this company who charge massive amount of money so badly made blinds from cheap cardboard rubbish, I had also made an order when they stated a 50% sale seeing the amount I paid for this I cannot see where the 50% reduction was

Only one out of four shutters fitted is correct. One shutter was 700mm to wide so left with a bedroom window totally without any cover. Promised a temp blind by Dave Moore to make up for their mistake. Never arrived. Day two a slat fell off in my hand when opening shutters. That door is also warped. Bay window has two different size opposite shutters, 600mm difference they look a mess. The base boards that the bay shutters sit on have miter joints that look they have been cut with an axe. Dozens of Emails and photos sent. No offer of any fix, no apology, no phone call, nothing. THEY WILL NEVER CALL YOU BACK. YOU HAVE TO CHASE THEM ALL THE TIME. WHAT SORT OF COMPANY IS THIS? NO CUSTOMER SKILLS WHATSOEVER. Rep and fitter measured windows twice and still got it wrong. BOTH SHOULD GO TO SPECSAVERS. Shutters are made in China so if there is a problem you have to wait 12 weeks for a replacement. We ordered shutters in September 2019 so it will be six months of aggravation from order date and still no solution. Unbelievable. Talking to the office staff is like talking to a frog on a Lilley pad as they both CROKE the same rubbish. Worst company we have ever had deelings with. CEO of Hillary’s hang your head in shame. Also how can you give UPTO 50% off your products if you don’t publish any fixed prices. Very confusing don’t you think? Reps and fitters are self employed they do not work directly for Hillary’s although they carry the Hillary’s logo on clothing. We await your reply and please don’t sound shocked as this has been going on for over two months from fitting date. You have been given enough time to sort it out. Enough is Enough. £3040 paid out for a DIY experience. CUSTOMERS YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED, GO ELSEWHERE UNLESS YOU WANT A NIGHTMARE ON HILLARYS STREET. MAKE SURE YOU PAY BY CREDIT CARD. GOOD LUCK. YOU WILL NEED IT.

I'm really happy with my blinds, which were fitted speedily by Jason (215987). Jason was really patient with me whilst I flicked through the brochures, and was really considerate about keeping me updated on arrival times.

I am absolutely delighted with my bespoke blinds. Make me smile. They did just the job required and great colour choice. Adam was a charming and efficient salesman/fitter. I am a repeat customer and have always used Hillary's in my lifetime

Very poor customer services, beware!! 18 months and still no blinds! The first set blinds delivered were not what we ordered and they were also damaged. It took over 6 months for Hillarys to then send out a team member to inspect and confirm this error. Our "new" order was then placed and scheduled to be installed several months later. The new date came and went, and we had to chase up multiple times, only to be told it would be another 6 months for installation due to a shipping error! No-one contacted us to explain this, we had to chase customer services many times for an update. This was almost 18 months after our original order. The new blinds were due to be installed last week, but quite incredibly the wrong ordered was delivered again!!! Having spent hours on the phone chasing this, we have been offered a very small refund to keep the blinds which are damaged and not what we ordered, or for the blinds to be refunded. Meaning Hillarys will have held our money for 18 months, without providing the blinds we ordered, with no compensation whatsoever. Unbelievable

Can’t technically review their blinds as I had an appointment booked for a Hillary’s advisor to come round and advise on blinds, stayed in all afternoon and no one turned up (this being despite receiving a daily reminder that someone was coming). Got a call just after the 3 hour slot they provided, telling me he could be there in half an hour. Declined as it was far too late. Called customer services and no one seemed particularly bothered that I’d wasted my entire afternoon and only offered me the next available slot which wasn’t imminent. Not a great first impression and won’t be using Hillary’s after all nor will I be recommending them.

What an absolutely fantastic experience from beginning to end. My advisor & fitter were absolutely spot on with measurements & the fittings are perfect in all four rooms. Lovely people. Would definitely recommend Hillarys Blinds & Curtains to everyone.

Customer Services is appalling. Not only does the team fail to understand simple issues, they are not joined up. Left hand doesn’t know what the right hand is doing. I will never again consult Hillarys for anything. All they want to do is sell. Any issues post installation is beyond their capability to resolve Avoid
