Moved into a new home, sliding door blinds were faulty, had a guarantee from previous owner as blinds were all new throughout but Hilary’s refused to help even though we had them out to quote for more blinds and the sales rep said they just needed adjustment, it would be no problem he said !!

the worst service ever eperienced. Waited more than 2 months for a shutter, but didnot match, so had to replace it. Another 3 more months to have the reordered one come, but find it does not match again. They propose to wait for another 8 weeks. Absolutely no!

Worst experience ever! Faulty blinds. Nobody returning phone calls. Months later still have broken blinds !!!

Excellent product but pricey. I now find that they don't "service" blinds over 3 years old - so is that the life expectancy for an expensive product!!?? As I say, good product but customer service sucks!

Two "matching blinds" didn't match so one will have to be replaced, one blind had different ends and didn't hang vertically probably need replacing. One slat was missing from the order. I am waiting to see what happens.

DO NOT GO ANYWHERE NEAR TO HILLARYS. There are alternative suppliers less than half almost one third prices and better quality. We paid over the odds and have these curtains bought through Hillary's appointed sales executive. Within no time following daily use, We have had issues with cords, which allows to draw the blinds down or bring them up. Out of 6 blinds 4 blinds we daily draw them down and bring them up in the morning. The cords get tangled and eventually this main function is so badly hampered that you can not pull the blinds up. We had cords replaced twice and each time we had to call out charge, labour and parts costs. And then they said we do not service our products after 3 years even on chargeable basis. They have washed their hands off. I will never order curtains of blinds from Hilarys. I would strongly recommend not to order any goods from Hillarys instead people to find a local show room suppliers who you can visit personally if you have any issues.

Stay away from this company They make cheap rubbish quality massively overpriced and have to wait far too long for the product to be installed The sales rep told me I would have to have a batten put Around the bay so the blinds would not touch the handles on the windows this I agreed several weeks later on the day to be installed the fitter asked me where the batten was He did not advise that I would have to supply the battery also show pay lots of money for the product wait for many weeks and then provide your own battle what Hilarys have to realise if you are going to charge Rolls-Royce prices you have to give a Rolls-Royce service I find this company most arrogant mate just a load of cheap rubbish and rip people off both financially and the service Every business has its shelf life the amount of life depends on the cause is made and everything and every business is not an exception to this rule You have one star below this is a reference however you deserve no stars whatsoever

After paying a small fortune for Shutters through Hillarys, with the promise of them being installed before Christmas, we were told 24hrs before that there was a delay- no explanation or apology. The shutters were installed nearly 2 months later! It took constant phone calls and chasing from myself to get this re-booked in with still no apology or explanation as to why there was a 2 month delay. And no care for the fact that I had to source temporary blinds, an unnecessary cost, and lose out on a days holiday from the cancelled installation date. After waiting an additional 2 months, the shutters arrived and were installed, only to realize that they had been built incorrectly and do not open in the way we had agreed. Disappointed and frustrated to say the least. Terrible service and they couldn't even get the product right.

I called them to enquire about how much the window shutters will cost. The lady on the phone never heard of square meters, and told me the price is up to the advisor who will do the measurements. perhaps they missed some maths lessons, at the end of the day i buy shutterts made of material sold per square metere not an advisor opinion the includes £££ according to your post code!. Most sites have a calculator ...

This is the first time I have ever felt the need to write a bad review. My experience with Hillary’s has been very disappointing, and I will be advising all friends and family to never purchase from them. Our advisor came round and measured up for two pairs of curtains and a matching roman blind for our kitchen. He sat down with us and gave us the final price for all 3 items which we were happy to go ahead with. He asked us to quickly sign his i pad and stated a receipt of the order would be sent to our email. The email I received stated our order was on it’s way but had no summary of the actual order. We thought nothing of this at the time. The same advisor came round to do our fittings. He shouted me over once he had finished fitting but had only fitted the blind and one pair of curtains, leaving one set of patio doors with nothing. I eagerly asked him where the other pair of curtains were as we had ordered two. His face said it all as he knew full well he had come round to measure for the whole kitchen, he even said he remembered measuring the set of patio doors with nothing on. But, he then looked at the order and said he had only put one pair of curtains and roman blind on the order which is not what we agreed to for that price. I then questioned why we had not received any sort of receipt or summary of our order as if I had received this I would of noticed the advisors error, which he had no answer for. I then rang customer services who were quite rude towards me with one male stating ‘did you not think that price was cheap for all 3 items’ (bearing in mind the price came up to nearly £900 including a black friday discount). I also told customer services that I was not happy that I had not received a summary of my order which they also had very little to say about. We feel very upset and mislead as what we have received is not what we were told we were reciving or not what we agreed to. Hillary’s now want another £500 for the other pair of curtains. We do not want to purchase with them again due to all of this but will have to in order to get the matching pair for the other patio door. We were also told we would receive a £50 as a gesture of good will towards the other pair nearly two weeks ago now but are still waiting on this.

Avoid this company they are dangerous! I don’t write bad reviews but the service and workmanship we’ve received has been so bad that I had to let others know if they were considering using Hillarys. They are overpriced for a bog standard product and have some of the worst customer service I’ve ever dealt with. They lie about warranties and guarantees on their website, and a fallen blind located in a nursery that was fitted by Hillarys could have seriously harmed our two month old. Even though it’s quite clear that substandard workmanship caused the blind to fall out of the wall, Hillary’s have refused to take responsibility and charge a call out fee plus costs (that they won’t estimate) to repair. We chose Hillarys because due to the high price we expected a certain standard of product, workmanship and customer service. You really don’t get any of these. Save some money (and potential harm) and go elsewhere.

Our newly fitted roman blinds collapsed 10 days ago. I have been calling their customer services every other day and every time have been promised that I would receive a call back that day so that we can book to have someone come and fix our blind and I STILL have not heard ANYTHING. I am absolutely infuriated. The blinds from Hilary's are not cheap and you would not expect them to break after only having them about a month and you would most definitely not expect this absolutely shocking customer service. We are renovating a house at the moment and we have so much on our minds and to be chasing and organising and I do not need to have to be constantly chasing for our faulty blinds to be repaired. We will most definitely not be using Hilary's again.

Absolutely disappointed from the start. Came to measure up he couldn't really be bothered in offering suggestions or ideas. Was meant to come January 14th to fit the blinds, got a call on Monday to say the chap had left. Was told another guy would come took a day off from work, never turned up. Got a call the next day said he'll come on the weekend but will ring an hour before arrival took the weekend off made sure I was in..no call and no one came. Still no blinds and no apologies. Would never use them again.

Very disappointed. Product poorly fitted (not straight) by a fitter more interested in carrying our his car repairs on our property than taking the time and effort to measure and fit the blind straight. Also, incompetent accounts department unable to issue the correct invoice. Rude after sales staff that just talk over the customer, instead of listening to the problem. We should have gone to Dunelm and bought an 'off the shelf' blind for £20 instead of wasting £200 on this shambolic company. Avoid!

Only had blinds for 2 years and you cannot get the parts that are damaged, so have to have 2 new tracks instead. I have been waiting nearly 3 months for the repairs and in the end have had another company do it. They also stated I could have bought the blinds from them at half the cost .... Not Happy 😡

Fitter carelessly damaged TWO newly painted walls with extension bar on his drill. Check for damage before they leave. Had to use filler and more paint to repair damage. Shoddy fitting.

IF I COULD RATE 0 STARS I WOULD!!!! I AM SO ANGRY WITH HILLARYS. I WAS FORCED TO CANCEL AN ORDER BECAUSE THEY REVOKED THEIR VELVET LINE DUE TO POOR QUALITY - THEY OWED ME £850 AND HERE I AM 3 WEEKS LATER NOT REFUNDED - I'VE HAD TO CALL THREE TIMES TO CHASE PAYMENT AND THEY HADNT EVEN PROCESSED IT!!! AGAIN!!!! THIRD TIME!!!! TO ADD EVEN MORE SALT TO THE WOUND, THEY SAID IT WOULD TAKE ANOTHER 7 DAYS TO WAIT FOR PAYMENT AGAIN THIS TIME, AFTER I WAS ASKED TO HOLD ON THE PHONE MULTIPLE TIMES. RIDICULOUS. WOMAN UNHELPFUL AND RUDE. THEY ARE LIARS AND CHEATS AND OWE ME MY MONEY!!!!!!!!!!!!! I WILL NEVER USE AGAIN. ABSOLUTE MORONS!!!! 😠😠😠😠😠
