“I paid the £30 premium delivery for pre 11am delivery which failed to arrive on time. I had 2 gardeners (who I pay by the hour) waiting. When the wagon turned up over half an hour late it took 4 of us over 40 minutes to get the ton of topsoil down to street level. The turf was lopsided on the pallet and even 4 of us couldn't straighten it up. There was a whole in the floor of the van which the wheel of the pallet lifting device got stuck in. When we eventually freed this problem the button to operate the truck tail was faulty which meant me going into the road to lower the driver and pallet. Same episode with the turf. I've just called to ask for a refund of the premium delivery charge and was told you can't do anything about the traffic and only half an hour late is ok. The exact words were 11 means 11ish and half an hour is a reasonable delay. I'm absolutely fuming and close to tears. This has been the worse experience ever and what's more my main gardener has put his back out by helping with thursdays delivery fiasco and is out of action!”
