“Turf on line is a very helpful and friendly company to deal with. The website is informative and user friendly. I telephoned to check my calculations and they were very helpful and did my order for me. Order placed Thursday morning and the turf arrived Friday morning and delivered by helpful driver into my garden. The Lawn turf is very good quality, easy to lay and now it's been down for a week I can see it is growing well. I would happily recommend Turf on line to a friend.”

“Overall, I'm satisfied, but there is room for improvement. The ordering process was helpful and efficient, ensuring that my delivery was for the correct day and allowing me to postpone after unforeseen problems in preparation. The delivery wasn't perfect; in fact, a little odd. The first I knew was to discover the driver half way up our path in his 3-wheeled forklift truck, having parked his wagon some 300 yards farther down the road, for reasons best know to himself. He then didn't ask where I wanted the delivery (not where he put it) and when he placed the second pallet damaged our paving stones by pushing the first pallet further up the drive. When it came to laying, the topsoil was slightly odd, with layers of unmixed sand, but it was okay. The turf itself, though, was only just about adequate. I'm not quite sure how anyone could determine if they had received the quality paid for, but this seemed nothing special, though I'd paid for the 'Jubilee' which is supposed to be a better standard. It also had curious patches of clay visible on the underside, which meant the finish feels decidedly 'lumpy' as the clay is far less compressible. More importantly, I think their turf cutter needs resetting, as the turfs were thicker on one side than the other (this was only slight, so wasn't too problematic). The most worrying aspect of all, though, relates to the quantity delivered. I had determined through a laser measure and computer drawing that I needed just about 50sq metres, but had ordered 60sq metres to be on the safe side. I was left with two rolls (one of which was very thin, scraggy, and uneven towards the end) and perhaps 1sq metre of offcuts. Something does not add up!”

“Really good quality turf. I bought Jubilee turf and had it delivered 12 days ago. Paid the extra for a morning delivery and it arrived just after midday. The driver was very accommodating and placed the pallet exactly where I wanted it on my driveway. Turf was laid that same afternoon and is already taking root and looking lush and green. Really thick grass and also soft texture - exactly what I wanted. Very few weeds and only one toadstool so far. Very happy and would definitely recommend; on the pricer side compared to other online sites but certainly can’t fault the quality.”

“Purchased the Jubilee turf and really happy with the quality of this turf. You may pay a little more but having recently bought some turf from a competitor I can honestly say Jubilee is a far superior turf. Highly recommended, would buy again”

“I ordered the Jubilee turf which I thought would be a better quality than the basic type. When I started laying the turf I noticed that it was brown in places,the cutting of the rolls were inconsistent and one roll was much barer than the rest. I was fortunate that I ordered more than I needed so was able to cut round the poor quality of some rolls. I'm hoping that in the long term things may be ok,we will see. I did complain about the issues and received a refund for half the cost. Having had previous Harrowden turf I am very disappointed in the quality of my recent purchase.”

“The grass looks good a week later, even though it was laid by a complete amateur. Lovely and green even in really shady places (used Shadesman). Turned up nice and early, although driver was a bit useless. Only complaint (which wouldn't bother most people) is there was too much. I have a small garden and tiny drive so had to lug it to the dump. Overall very satisfied. No dud rolls.”
