Truly abysmal customer service. Purchased a bed and paid an extra £25 for a specific delivery date (to room of choice), which confirmation email states gets you a 2-hour delivery slot to be notified in advance. Date selected as first day back from holiday and last day before school begins. Received a slot of 7am-9am, so cleared the kids room the night before to make space and set the alarm early to be up and ready. At 6.02am on delivery day I get a text saying timeslot no longer applicable. I contact both Happy Beds and their delivery company (Panther) to get a revised slot. Happy Beds are incapable of providing any information and the delivery company simply doesn't respond! ..... though delivery company does have the cheek to send another text at 9.33am saying "you will receive a time slot soon" (which I never did) and also (in caps) "CHARGES WILL APPLY FOR MISSED DELIVERIES", ignoring the irony of the fact that they themselves are the ones who have missed their own delivery!! Happy Beds disown responsibility for anything to do with the courier, and point immediately to their T&Cs, including the fact that they take no responsibility for the delivery company and the piece at the start of the T&Cs that says (and I paraphrase) if you don't like anything here then don't buy from us! - a salutory warning for anyone thinking of doing business with Happy Beds! The bed finally arrives after 7pm, a full 12 hours after 2-hour delivery window provided opened!! In the meantime I've had to stay in all day with the kids with zero food in the house (as first day back from holiday). And while I thought I would have all day to build the bed, I end up having no time until the weekend 4 days later ..... and kids room has been cleared, in line with the instructions on Happy Beds website. Do I get so much as a sorry from Happy Beds? No, just pointed to T&Cs saying delivery company is nothing to do with them ...... except that they chose the delivery company and they were paid the delivery charge!! Stay well clear and buy your bed elsewhere!

One of the worst customer service experiences I have ever had! The bed got delivered over two weeks ago damaged, happy beds had been going back and forth with the manufacture to get replacement parts. After numerous chasing I finally advise them I just want a full refund as the manufacturer takes 5 working days to reply to their emails. Customer service told me it can't be any quicker, was rude, wouldn't allow me to speak to a manager or any other person on her team. Would avoid the company at all costs going forward!

My experience was far from Happy with this company. I paid extra for the mattress to be delivered and put in the bedroom. I live in a terrace house with straight stairs and normal size doors. On delivery I was advised that they would not be able to get the mattress up the stairs into the room and they could either leave it in the living room or take it away. As I live on my own I advised that they would need to take it away. I then recieved an email from Happy beds to say I can either pay £50.00 for it to be redelivered or £120.00 for cancelling my order!!! as per the terms and conditions. At no point did the mattres ever leave the comfort of the back of the lorry and you are not advised of these charges by the courier as they do not work for Happy Beds. So please think twice before paying for delivery and mattress removal unless you live in a bungalow with massive doors and no corners or a big tent you will be disappointed and out of pocket also you will probably have to sleep in the living room.

We purchased a bed for our child from this company and arrived faulty. They blamed us for not assembling the bed properly and asked us to send all the videos and photos, which did and they said safety latch issue. They keep saying that but not telling where and how. We had invited a carpenter friend to look at the bed and manual and if there is any issues. He confirmed that everything was done properly and the bed was faulty. After chasing for a week, they refuse to accept the faulty bed back, refused to provide the parts, and refused to provide us a refund. They are not obliging to the 14 days distance selling regulations? We are now taking this further and going to The Consumer Protection (Distance Selling) Regulations Authorities. Very poor customer service and very very BAD bed company.

I should leave no stars! Completely and utterly failed to withhold their promise of delivery on said date! Day was agreed in plenty of time but they failed to load it onto the van. I wonder if they had it at all at time of purchase. Worse still if they did and simply forgot to include it. I was then told they would try to get it to me on the following day and later told the time slot had been missed! Missed by who? It was there mistake in the first place that the promise wasn’t kept and should automatically have been given slot for the next day. So I’m still waiting for this bed and therefore I’d not recommend buying from them.

It's quite difficult to find a contact number and the live chat is virtually non-existence.Nearly 10 days on and no one managed to get back to me on stock availability. After much searching I managed to find an email address, which I am guarding with my life as the only way of communication. The email option was fine and I cannot fault the person who had the curtesy to get back to me to notify me that the item is going to be out of stock for some weeks. My only concern now is that if I order from this company, and on receipt of the product, need to further speak with anyone, it will be impossible to do so. It's a shame, but please make it easier on your website for your customers to get in touch, or make the live chat actually 'live', as I still have not received a reply.

Dreadful customer service after I received a faulty bed. It's now 5 days on and I have no tracking for the replacement part, a half built bed in a room a now cannot use and was told that I have to dispose of the very large faulty part myself! No suggestion of compensation. Shocking service, avoid at all costs.

Steer well clear and head to IKEA! Mars bunk with trundle is a very poor quality product; the worst flat pack quality I have ever seen. Built by a flat pack professional (who has built more items very well for me and others). There are 1-2mm gaps between every side panel and couple trundle bed panels and several panel edges also don’t align by 1-2mm. My 5 year old asks if I can stop her bed wobbling and it’s up against walls on 2 sides! If this product meets BSI standards I’ll be very surprised. Happy beds not offered satisfactory resolution after considerable correspondence. Don’t seem to appreciate the significant inconvenience this causes when they ask to dismantle and repack for a refund. Offered a pathetic £40 discount which in no way makes up for the poor quality and amount of time communicating with their team and BSI and TS - who agree the discount is poor and they should assist with dismantling and removal. Raised complaint to Trading Standards and BSI (you will need to name the distributor Julian Bowen Ltd who are responsible for BSI approval)and suggest others affected by this product do the same. Happy beds should remove this product from sale given the feedback is mounting from consumers. Hopefully BSI will be along soon to inspect the product again. If you have been affected by this product contact your local trading standards office and BSI for advice.

Extremely poor service. Why give delivery on a named day if this cannot be fulfilled? I could have purchased this mattress cheaper and received it sooner, but chose this company as it was the cheapest option with a specific date so that I could organise time off and make sure I'd be home. I was advised that I would receive an email with a 3 hour delivery window the evening before the scheduled delivery. This never occurred. I was also told the courier would ring 30 mins - 1 hour away from the property. This did not happen either. Upon contacting the courier they were deliberately hard to reach, uncaring, patronising and seemingly bewildered as to why I would be expecting the delivery today when I received an email stating it was ready for collection this morning. Why would that be so unlikely? I found the customer service from Happy Beds to be friendly, though risky and somewhat unprofessional. I was "cheekily" asked to leave a review mentioning Tina based solely on the customer service even though I had not yet had a positive experience. Unfortunately as I did not receive a 3 hour window and have had no decent communication from the courier, let alone received a mattress, this is an extremely negative experience. The customer service while friendly, was inaccurate and unhelpful. I wish I had ordered elsewhere.

Never buy from this company Never buy from this company! I bought mattress and bedframe. Everything smells chemicals! It is cheap quality product. The company policy is to give an airing for 6 weeks! you have only 15 days to report the issue and 1 month to return after, yourself! They will not arrange return for you even you have to pay for it.

I’m very disappointed with the whole experience and I don’t think I’ll be using Happy Beds again. There were series of problems which took a very long time to resolve. I ordered a single Francis Grey Ottoman storage bed and 2 mattresses, mattresses didn’t arrive at the same time as bed so I had to inconveniently rearrange and wait for a delivery another day. Also, the headboard of the bed was wrong, it was a completely different colour and there was an important part missing for hydraulic mechanism. Customer services were extremely unhelpful on the phone and didn’t show any attention and care in order to resolve the issues, they blamed the manufacturer for everything that went wrong. I had to spend a lot of time liaising with different team members and it took almost a month to get the correct headboard. On that 3rd delivery that I waited for I unfortunately still haven’t received a bolt for hydraulic mechanism even though I asked many times. Instead they sent a footboard which was completely unnecessary and wasn’t required. They didn’t want to collect the wrong colour headboard and second footboard, instead I was told to dispose it. It was terrible to waste these big, solid pieces of wood. After all that happened I’m actually not happy with the Francis Grey Ottoman bed, there are big gaps between the bed frame and mattress so stored items underneath get very dusty and require constant vacuuming. I’m much happier with the ottoman bed I purchased in IKEA, stored items are free of dust and I wish I bought 2 of the same beds from IKEA.

AVOID AT ALL COSTS. Nightmare company who clearly just take your money. Customer Service / Satisfaction is NIL. I will never order or recommend. Unbelievable. Totally ripped off.

Awful costumer service from Lizzie and Aimee. Zero help with order issues. Mattress was not delivered (not my fault), was told via email by Aimee I had to pay £50 redelivery fee. When I gave a new date for redelivery via phone call to Lizzie I was told that was not possible. I was told I would either be charged £100 and receive no mattress or now pay £80 to have it redelivered 6 days later. Was made to feel it was my fault, they gave no helpful solutions, attitude was awful. Lizzie should not be working with the public with her rude attitude towards customers. Avoid this company unless you wish to be scammed out of more money. Will not be recommending this company due to poor customer care. Very similar reviews to this experience on here. Will update this review once I have received mattress.

Ordered a bed. Delivery arrived. Boxes were soaking wet, covered in dirt and mud. I refused delivery. Delivery driver (Panther transport) got aggressive. Told them to leave and take damaged good with them. the boxes were so wet and dirty they left water and mud on my hallway. Called Happy Beds and the customer service agents are so defensive and rude with very bad attitude. I said to them if you treat me like this I will cancel order. they said that's fine and order is cancelled by them. DONT bother dealing with this unprofessional company. Customer service is non existence. If you have a problem they do not bother helping

This company sends you whatever they have in stock and NOT WHAT YOU ORDERED. Then they claim you have to self return it since there is a paragraph in Terms and Conditions. Scammers who think they get away with it in UK. I am submitting papers to Small Court , they are breaking UK LAW

Update / delivery was arranged for 21/02/23 and informed of time slot. Took time off to accommodate - then informed at short notice that delivery had been cancelled. No explanation - not impressed!

Disaster! Bed comes damaged, replacements come damaged. Customer service slow and replying. Delivering company used time guide very inaccurate. Would avoid avoid avoid!
