I have not started using the products yet, but the website . . . Looks very nice, but it just wouldn't do what I expected. I chose the product (one-off razors) and clicked to add to basket, but it just wouldn't go. I ordered other stuff and thought I had eventually ordered to razor. But I didn't check the order (oops!). The razors were not there, so today's delivery was without them. Later today I managed to order razors. Whew! I have been responsible for some web sites, but I would want to change this one.

I was first tempted by their shampoo bar offer which appealed to my eco aspirations. I was then tempted by their offers on other products. They turned out to be nothing special - some nice natural sounding ingredients but very small bottles (tiny bottles sent in the post must have a far larger ecological impact than large ones sent by established means - the surface area to volume ratio means you are using much more plastic per ml) and they didn't have much of a smell of any of the featured components or anything else to make them more appealing than my usual brands. Disappointing.

Hi Ben, Thanks for taking the time to review us. It's a real shame to hear you're not very happy about all of the products, but as you've just re-ordered I'm hoping you like some of them :) ! I wanted to reassure you about our packaging and it's ecological credentials. When we use plastic bottles they are uniquely slimline and thus use less space to be delivered than conventional bottles/tubes (this often means that they come across as "small"). Plus less plastic and are recyclable. Our bottles reduce transportation by up to 64% which in turn reduces the CO2 emissions of delivering your goods. Additionally our products are delivered by Royal Mail by your normal post person - 9 times out of 10 who is on foot and once again less carbon footprint. I placed an order on the 17th of December in order to arrive before Christmas. This arrived really quickly and I was very impressed. However, there was a couple of issues. I thought I had added for the razor handle to be personalised with PJ on the handle as this is a present for somebody else. Having checked the order confirmation I can not see proof of this so it is possible it was an error my end. Secondly upon opening the box the blade cover is was missing from the order. As this was a gift set and is mentioned on the order and delivery I know this should have been included in the order. The above was emailed to the company on the 24th of December with no reply. I have heard from my brother today who informed me that the blades are also really bad hence feeling the need to write a review. The other products in the gift bag might be great but he is yet to use these.

I'm very sorry to say, but the wait for my orders has been ridiculous! The first one was a promotion, so I expected it to be slow, but I'd forgotten about it by the time it came...around 6-8 weeks later?! The product (shampoo) was nice, so I thought I'd try one more time. This time delivery was quicker, but still a week! Which was irritating, due to the fact things were supposedly shipped out within one working day. Again, the product (scrub) was nice enough, but a very small quantity for the price. I understand it's a new company, and I like the ethos behind it, but I can't wait that long for my toiletries!

I signed up for a blade plan i.e. two blades per month. On your website it states that if you sign up for a blade plan you get a free handle. If this is correct then where is my handle. If this is not correct then you make this explicit on your website.

The blades are fine, but the shaving handles themselves have a serious design flaw. The central plastic blade stabiliser is very weak and this will be the third shaving handle I have bought in less than a year. I am seriously considering trying one of your competitors. Very poor quality blade handles.

I was really hoping to like this product. The handle is great, it has a nice weight to it. However the blades were not good, I felt like the hair on my head was being ripped out. It wasn’t a comfortable shave.

Sadly I didn't receive the colour I ordered, also I thought I was receiving 2 heads but only received one? The handle is slippy, not enough grip. No noticeable difference to any other razor.

When you signed up, it was for a trial. Therefore, you received 1 blade. The purpose of the trial is to allow you to try the service at a discounted price before moving on to a full-price plan. ..very disappointed..I was cut twice by multi-blades that were definitely not sharp and my face is very sore after 2 shaves..the handle was nowhere near as ergonomic as I thought this new system might be..

Unhappily it was unable to tackle my day old growth without tugging!! I did use a good foam but it didn't help. Sorry. Ray Coates

I have been shaving my head since Easter. I was using Gillette blades but since I started shaving head have (obviously) had to change blade more often. Looked to Gruum to reduce cost. Gillette blade has never nicked my skin. First shave with Gruum blade and bathroom looks like scene from Psycho. Really unhappy and cancelling subscription. I suppose you have to pay a bit more for quality!

I tend not to write reviews for products, but if i am unhappy with a product i usually do not re-purchase, in this case i feel i must…… I find the design of the razor head very poor and somewhat flimsy !! The handle looks nice……. what else does it need to do. I have used the razor for one shave and have returned to using my old Wilkinson sword hydro blades, build quality is so much better and i feel the quality of the blades also very good. Sorry folks but on this occasion i would not recommend your product to anyone else and sadly the razor and extra pack of blades i ordered shall find its way into the re-cycling. I have tried this new system for a week and found it to be unremarkable, in fact I have had razor rash / skin irritation for the first time in 30 years or more. So not for me. Sorry Chaps. I had a reply from Simon and I responded accordingly, however he has not yet come back to me, a week later? Not what I would call Customer Focus.

My wife purchased a shaving set for me for Christmas. After giving it a good chance, sadly i have gone back to my 5 blade shaver. The blade although a decent shave, it nicked a few times and was not as good as the leading brand.

Because I find the prices that the established brands charge for their razors/blades is far too high, I really wanted to like your product. Unfortunately, it doesn't come close to the comfort and performance of my Wilkinson Sword razor, so I guess I'll continue to pay over the odds. Sorry
