“I like the shoes and they are comfortable but the waterproofing didn't last long which is shame. Probably won't buy of grisport again for this reason.”

“I don’t like to give bad reviews but these boots took the skin off my heels within about the first mile of my walk, the reviews were great and you can wear them straight out of the box, no you can’t! That was about 3/4 weeks ago and my heels are only just recovering, I’m still trying to walk them in but they are the most uncomfortable boots I’ve ever worn sadly. They look nice and are waterproof which is the main reason for buying them. I should have known better but even after still trying to walk them in they are still uncomfortable and run my heels, and that’s wearing special socks with them. Such a shame.”

“After much thought I have gone for 3 stars. I was pleased with the process of purchase and delivery and initially with the boots. Sadly after one day in the field one of the eyelets came away from the boot. Grisport offered a full refund so although I am disappointed in the boots I am satisfied with the way the issue has been dealt with. I was considering getting a pair of their Keeper boots as well but this is on hold while I reconsider after the failure of the Alligator boots.”

“I received my order within 3 days which was very good. But I have returned the walking shoes as I thought for the cost the quality was poor. The tongue didn't sit right making the shoes uncomfortable”

“Having previously submitted a review of my Grisport boots where one of my boots was causing me discomfort, I contacted Grisport and the support I received was superb. This problem has now been resolved to my complete satisfaction and I cannot praise Grisport highly enough.”

“While very comfortable out of the box and while wearing around the house on first occasion outside on short walk through rough grass both boots leaked. Have returned for refund which is awaited. May well be that for walking on clearly defined paths these boots will be fine or that I have been unlucky with this pair. However for my requirements they are not up to it.”

“First impressions on opening the box - disappointment. The colour was much darker than expected. On wearing they are OK but not as comfortable straight out the box as some reviews suggested. Going to take some wearing in. The bottom eyelet digs into the joint of the toes and the foot. However they are sturdy and waterproof.”

“Ordering all fine but the boots are like house bricks. No cushioning at all. Hopefully very thick socks and walking on soft ground will help that but after 20km in them I basically have bruised the soles of my feet.”

“Overall boots were of good quality. I was particularly looking for numback leather boots with slip resistant sole. The shape of the sole was very close to my previous boots which were very good on slippery surfaces like on ice, wet and oily tiles etc but these boots were not good on slippery surfaces and I was not able to find one step smaller size in these boots. If It was possible to get size 39 in these boots I was able to compromise on its loose grip on slippery surfaces. I hope my comment will help company to think about making slip resistant boots for size 39 in men. Many thanks”

“Have been buying Grisport Boots for years, sadly quality of workmanship is not the same. Now made in Romania ..not Italy one of the boots were not finished. There was glue here and there around both boots . Such a shame.”

“The boots were extremely light and seemed flexible, but wearing them for a wee great for short walks but for personally I would not wear them for long distances as just not that soft and comfortable.”

“I was disappointed in my boots quality was lacking insole was like a cheap cardboard cutout.sent them back tried to order a different pair with 15% discount code but you can't use it because there is a free discounted walking pack added by yourself and you can't take it out.so in my opinion your quality co trolley should be looked at and your website also”

“Ordered shoes and faster delivery on Monday 14 August . I received a message from DPD parcel delivery saying it would be delivered on Wednesday 16 August. Then received a message on 16 August saying “sorry we missed you tomorrow”!!!! I emailed Grisport to say it was ridiculous that the courier company send me a “sorry we missed you” before they’ve even tried. Anyway somehow the items were delivered on Sunday 20th August. Thankfully the actual shoes are comfortable, don’t need to be broken in and seem to be genuinely waterproof. So I’m really happy with the quality of the product but think the delivery service is idiotic, hence not being able to give 5 stars.”
