“I researched thoroughly the features of the numerous breakdown insurances on offer. I was concerned that my wife's vehicle, a Mercedes Vito would not be covered as the van version is above 2500GVW. However, ours has windows and seats and is registered as an MPV diesel car, Diane was very good and quick in coming back with the reply which she also confirmed in writing. GEM may not be the cheapest on offer, but like verything else in life you do tend to get what you pay for, and its no use sitting by the side of the road with a broken down vehicle to find out that you are not covered by the small print. Good product, good service.”

“Straightforward joining process, took out the personal cover which means my car motorbike and camper van are all covered when I'm driving them. Make sure you take out cover a couple of days ahead of buying a new vehicle as you're not covered on the day of purchase (pretty common policy), and if you're looking at cheaper alternatives, make sure you read their terms and conditions - I was nearly stung by another provider as their web page said they covered all vans (below a specific weight), but when I checked the T&Cs just before paying, buried down on page 4 was a clause saying they didn't cover camper vans regardless of weight). Hope I won't need to use GEM Assist, but it's reassuring to know they're there if I do need them.”

“Having seen the reviews on AutoExpress I joined. Very simple choices, clearly explained. The form was easy to complete, with clear payment options and no charge for credit card payments. Email confirming joining and all the details necessary. Quickly able to access their website. A very good experience.”
