“Helpful courteous lady (Sam) on phone, Monday 7/3/16 who arranged for mechanic from Hobbs to come out at a convenient time for me. He diagnosed over-fuelling and also thought the exhaust might have a small hole. He too was very polite and helpful, managed to get my car running again and recommended using Esso or Shell fuel in future rather than cheaper brands. I was able to get to our local garage who checked the car over for me and found that the exhaust was in fact OK.”

“Having been a veteran motorist/GEM member for some 53 years, and had membership of the recovery for many years, although having only called for assistance once with clutch failure, I would not hesitate to recommend this service to anyone.”

“Extensively checked ratings of all breakdown cover suppliers GEM consistently came out on top. Very good recommendations from existing subscribers on pricing, service, ease of use if called out to attend a breakdown & staff attitude/politeness. First time I have subscribed to GEM services but on review websites/customer feedback doesn't appear to be much of a gamble. Very easy to understand website 7 application a doddle.”

“Recently the head blew on my Kia Sedona when I was in Plymouth. Work had previously been carried out on the vehicle in my home town of Swindon and I was anxious to get the vehicle back to them. Gems arranged everything swiftly and without fuss. Their telephone st,aff are excellent and very considerate and ring back to ensure everything is in place. I am very impressed.”

“Very polite and efficient telephone service for membership renewals, very competitively priced cover, good quarterly members magazine with lots of interesting features. Have been very fortunate so far, as I have not had a breakdown to need to call upon their services.”

“Price is very very competitive.Service,if you need it,is good.Have not needed to use the call out service this year,but last time I did the waiting time for an engineer was acceptable(about 30 minutes). Having to pay at the time of call-out is not an issue for me when I take into account how much more I would have to pay for membership of the AA or RAC. I expect to renew again with GEM when my renewal is due (late April, I believe).”
