I have been with GEM for a number of years now and luckily my wife and I have never had need to use the service. One thing that disappoints us is when the renewal date approaches and we receive a quote its always more expensive to auto renew than if I went online and joined as if I was a new member. There is no loyalty discount or offer of no claims discount. If left to auto renew we get charged more?? Would be very interested in knowing why this is and can be contacted on jaffah138@aol.com. All this being said its still the best value for money breakdown cover on the market.

Excellent price. Four people covered for £149. Application process very quick. Documentation easy to understand. Would recommend.

Between us my wife and I have got 5 motorcycles - a mix of modern, vintage and classic - and two cars - one an elderly 4x4. Having struggled to get breakdown cover for the 4x4 in last year because of it's age, we came across GEM Motor Assist. It's the person, not the vehicle, that is covered. And there are few restrictions on the type, size and age of vehicle. Even covered when a passenger in someone else's vehicle. Great peace of mind to now have both my wife and I covered for ALL of our vehicles - for the price of covering just one last year!

Dear GEM Member, Thank you so much for taking the time to say such encouraging things about the service we provide. However, can we just point our that we do not cover the policyholders as a passenger in someone else's vehicle, but as a passenger in any policyholders vehicles. I am sorry for this misunderstanding. As you will know, GEM has been providing a first class service to its members since 1932 and as an independent membership association we always strive to put the needs of our members first. In these busy times, the fact that you have taken the trouble to confirm that our efforts are working is a great encouragement to us all..Thank you once again for your support of our special club. Easy to navigate website, trouble free policy renewal. Great price allowing policy holder to make a claim for either a motorcycle or a car.

I have just signed up with you for breakdown service as my present car setvice will have expired by 12/8/16. I have not heard of you until now and was recommended so I hope I will not need you too often and that we will get along just fine.

Very pleased with being back with GEM again after several years of being ripped-off by other brake-down companies. I saved a bundle this year and like the membership being on a personal basis rather than it being tied to a vehicle. Great stuff GEM.

We only had one breakdown in our first year with GEM and found them to be very professional and quick to send a tow truck out, which took us to our preferred local garage. The only downside for us was being charged more than new customers for our second year's cover

Early days yet, cover starts tomorrow. However contact to set up was easy, your staff excellent to talk to, well versed in the product, not pushy and extremely pleasant to talk to. If subsequent experience is similar I will be well pleased.
