Very straightforward. Wasn't able to setup a direct debit for some reason (suspect bank issue), but paying by card was as easy as expected. The option to pay by Paypal is also a handy alternative.

Everything very efficiently sorted out as always. (Much better than 2 other well known breakdown companies!) The recovery man turned up within 20 minutes and had me back on the road 10 minutes later. Result!

We broke down recently while on our way to Birmingham, contacted GEM and was greeted by a very friendly person (young lady didn't quite catch her name) who promptly put me at my ease and explained the procedure, the mechanic arrived within the time slot but, there was a slight miscommunication as our vehicle wasn't drive-able and we needed a low loader not just a mechanic, this was relayed back to GEM who then re-arranged the appropriate vehicle which arrived and then took us to a local garage of our choosing, apart from the mix up of transport all was handled very professionally and with excellent customer care. I have and will continue to recommend GEM to friends and family, if you should have the misfortune to break down you will certainly be in good hands (assuming you have cover with GEM) 5*s+. Have used GEM for a few years now , received excellent service when we have had to call them out,just sorted cover out for my dad very straight forward price you see is price you pay not like others you think are a good price then there are numerous added extras,good value cover well done GEM.

subscribing on line was very easy. I was especially pleased that the system did not retain credit card details, so no automatic renewal/inertia selling

The website would not accept my landline or mobile number so I had to ring. Spoke to a lovely lady, ellie I think it was, she was excellent, not just reading from a script.
