“Renewal invitation costs £5 more than just buying the cover. So just went straight to website and purchased cover rather than paying the extra £5 for loyalty!”

“Although GEM were not the cheapest option available to me from Go Compare, after looking at the other sites and what they offered, I believe GEM' deal looked the best so I was happy to pay a bit more.”

“I have been a member of GEM for many years and have recently returned to the UK from France where my car was covered for breakdown by the manufacturer. I know that the breakdown assist offered by GEM has been voted the top supplier for several years, so I always said that I would use GEM Motoring Assist on my return. Now I have donethis.”

“For some reason the online My Gem wouldn't register me. However I contacted Gem via email and they came back very quickly and sorted it out. Service over the phone was excellent. The only reason for 4 stars was that the original online registration didn't seem to want to work.”

“How they made me happy? What does that mean? I've only just joined 'cause they were the easiest to join but won't know if they're any good until I call them out. Thought I'd try them though as AA and RAC have been not too reliable in the past.”

“I only have experience of getting a quote which was easy to do and to arrange policy. But just took it out so do not now how good they are in a breakdown situation.”

“I've been happy with the service provided in previous breakdown situations, but am disappointed that when it comes to Membership Renewals, they don't offer customer loyalty discounts/benefits... those seem to be reserved for new customers only.”

“I made the mistake of not following the recommendation e-mail address my son recommended me to GEM he has been a member for some years and always had good service when in need. I believe I will get the same good service if I am unfortunate to need it”
