I phoned after a quote from a comparison website. The Homeprotect staff member was friendly and efficient from the outset, able to answer all my questions about insuring a new house we have just bought. You could tell from his voice that he was smiling throughout, which lightened the hassle of taking out a policy. Thanks.

Have renewed for a number of years now with HomeProtect and never made a claim. So I would expect some loyalty pricing or discounts, yet every year the price increases. I have no complaints with them, as not had to ever test their customer service yet, but would hope they look after their loyal customers better. Hopefully in the future this will happen and I wont have to move elsewhere.

Can't comment on the claims side or having to contact company as I have not needed to. The only complaint I have is the automatic renewal payment being taken a week before due as there is no reason for it not to be taken on the due date. Apart from that easy to set up online

Thank you for your feedback. We do state on your documents that the payment will be attempted 7 days prior, to prevent any gap in cover should the payment fail. You do have the option to stop your policy from automatically renewing. If this is the case please send your request to resolve@homeprotect.co.uk and we can arrange for this to be stopped in future. We had to claim in December, no one came out to sort out the plumbing issue, correspondence is poor and cannot get through on the phone, e mails not answered for days. Claim still not sorted even though we have been given a settlement figure and a deadline to reply or the claim will be dismissed. Have now put contractors on hold to do the repair work caused by water damage.

Loss adjuster made a payment request 4th July and nearly five weeks later and they haven’t paid. They don’t answer emails. Can’t get through on the phone. Spend over an hour at a time on hold. The loss adjuster can’t get through either. Don’t know how to get a response out of them.

I'm really happy about how simple it was to get this policy for my grade II listed house. After much messing around with other insurers, I was able to get this without any fuss or hassle. Highly recommended.

My house is non traditional so not many insurers will even consider it. It was an easy process - straight forward questions and came away with a price about £100 less than my previous company. I made a call as I was unsure about something and was answered quickly - friendly, helpful advice.

Factors that helped me choose Home protect were: ease if navigating site and when I needed help with a section the customer service assistant talked me through the process. Homeprotect cover everything I needed to insure.

I paid my full annual insurance of £1300 on the 28th June, 2023. When my documents didn't come through a week later I contacted them and they said that they had no record of my payment but that there finance department would be in touch. After a further week there was no correspondence and my home was not insured. I phoned them again. They said I had two option. First to repay the £1300 or secondly they would send an email to finance and hope they picked it up soon. I put a complaint forward which was upheld and the case was closed. They said that they would honour any claim I made but still no documents sent to me. The following day I got an email saying that I wasn't insured because they hadn't had any payment. I'm back on the phone now and they are saying they have received my payment and I will be insured, but they cannot send me my documents for 30 days. I have demanded to speak to a manager. Its not good enough!

I was renew my policy and the young girl that I spoke to was very helpful obviously we ran out of time and she couldn't get through to confirm and complete it all. She said soneone would be in touch and got an email, so I phone back again to get it sorted out again, I got gentleman which we sorted it out and it went through,then when I got the email to confirm everything, my husband noticed something did look right so I rang back and I spoke to the young girl again and she confirmed and the policy was right and made me so at ease that everything was right and not to worry so i felt so much better with her confirmation. So very pleased with the out come.
