Outrageously flawed purchase experience with absolutely no compensatory process in place whatsoever. Let down by retailer and courrier - I have no product , taken a day off work to wait for delivery, paid someone £50 to attend my property to build shed , had to pay them for doing nothing - delivery was cancelled by text DX 10 minutes before end of delivery time window. Didn't get any new suggested delivery date from DX. Shed has now exceeded overall delivery date frame (7-10 days) by a week and considering I asked garden street on 3 seperate occasions shortly after ordering if the item could be delivered as soon as possible I have received the opposite. Resolution offered was to 'chase the courier' - told no discount, voucher , compensation etc was on offer despite I am now considerably out of pocket due to taking a day off work and paying 50 to a labourer all in vein. The problem lies predominantly with your courrrier but the recourse is entirely with you as the retailer to pacify your customer and seek internal compensation from your contractor - dx, who is decimating your customers experience. Terrible purchase experience, unreliable , costly and without suitable resolve. Unacceptable. Please take this email as formal request to cancel my order and refund my account immediately for this purchase (£250) See my customer notes - NE270BP

Dear Mr Bell, Thank you for taking the time to leave a review. We always appreciate feedback regarding our service. We are disappointed to hear the issues you have experienced with the delivery of this product. We do use external carriers to maintain free nationwide delivery, but do appreciate they have let us down in this instance. This is something which we are investigating. We do appreciate your frustration, but do not recommend booking in tradesmen until full and satisfactory receipt of your product(s). Booking a day off work is also not something which we recommend, and doing this would be at your own discretion. This is due to the unlikely event of a failed delivery by the carriers, which may be out of our control. However we can confirm that this order has now been cancelled, and a full refund has been issued to the account of purchase. You will have also received an email to confirm this. Once again apologies for the inconveniences caused; we do appreciate that this carrier issue does not reflect well on ourselves. After being told the product was in stock and then placing the order I was told the item was not in stock. Then I was told stock was delayed, I was offered a refund but said I would wait as long as it was delivered when next promised. After further delays I asked for a refund and told this would take up to 5 days (it's 2016 - faster payments take no more than 2 hours - but I waited), the funds are still not in my account - very disappointed.

Sent my parcel to the billing address, not the delivery address, so had to drive all the way to Birmingham from Leicester to collect.

Product was great in theory. However the measurements were not quite right. Garden Street provide very poor customer service, are very unhelpful and charged £24 to return the product. Would not recommend this company where there are many more online retailers offering similar products with pleasant customer service.

Dear L Kent, Thanks for leaving a review. The return cost for your Door Canopy was because this was a change of mind and you no longer wanted the item. We are glad we were able to arrange this collection promptly, and collect it on the first attempt, as well as issue your refund for you as soon as possible, as to cause the least possible inconvenience to yourself. Following our regular phone calls and email correspondence we appreciate you feel the canopy is up to 1cm different from the specification provided, however our sizes are approximate and would account for a difference as small as 1cm for a door canopy.
