“I would definitely recommend Gap 360 to anyone thinking of travelling. They were excellent, efficient and very helpful. Everything went smoothly from start to finish. I would definitely book with them again in the future!”
“Tour guide was fantastic, he catered for everyone's needs and made sure everyone was happy and comfortable. He was also very knowledgeable about every state and activity we did.
Gap 360 were very helpful in the lead up to my trip. The website had everything I needed to make sure I was well prepared for my trip. However make sure to contact G adventures about excursions because Gap 360 only told me about the Grand Canyon helicopter ride but when I turned up there was a swamp tour and I had to pay 99 dollars for the Monument Valley over night stay which Gap 360 did not tell me about when I called up a few days before departure.”
“This summer was my first time travelling to Asia, and before I left the UK lots of people asked me why I'd picked China as my introduction to Asia, rather than somewhere like Thailand. China has always been a country that I've wanted to visit, with the Great Wall being a definite Bucket List item of mine, but I had heard that travelling round China as an individual is incredibly hard because of the language barrier, so when I found Gap 360's China Adventure this seemed like the perfect way to see the country.
Gap 360 were really helpful and great at providing information before I left the UK, and the booking pack they sent me with my itinerary and visa application guide made getting my China visa sorted so easy. The pack provided loads of detailed information so I felt prepared and not at all worried about travelling to and arriving in Hong Kong by myself.
The tour itself was one of the best experiences of my life. My group was a good size (there were 12 of us) and a range of ages, which was nice as I was worried that I might be one of the oldest! Everything ran smoothly, and there was a good balance of organised activities and free time to explore the cities we visited by ourselves, which I think is important to have. One of the less positive aspects of the trip is that there are couple of fairly long overnight train journeys (24 hours being the longest!) which aren't the most fun, however in a country as big as China it's to be expected and thankfully we had Uno and packs of cards to keep us entertained!
The trip really is great value for money, as in every city we visited there was an 'unmissable attraction' that was included in the price, such as bamboo rafting in Yangshuo, visiting the Panda Research Centre in Chengdu, and camping on the Great Wall of China in Beijing. Our guides were also fantastic, and having a new local guide in each city was really good as it meant they knew the cities inside out, and could take us to some real local spots and tell us the best places to get authentic Chinese food, as well as taking us to the more touristy places. They also knew lots about the history of the areas and were always able to give us lots information about the places we visited, whether it was the Terracotta Warriors in Xi'an or the Forbidden City in Beijing.
The China Adventure is perfect for anyone who's keen to travel China and get a real feel for the country and it's culture; it was an unforgettable experience and I highly recommend it!”
“This will remain one of the most significant and memorable experiences of my life. I have made wonderful friends and seen great things. Taking this trip has inspired me to keep travelling as much as I can and continue meeting new people. Dora has been an excellent tour guide - organised, enthusiastic and funny - which only further enriched the experience. It was great meeting so many new people from all over the world - Aussies, Kiwis and Candies (what I am calling Canadians).
There are few better reasons to be in debt financially than for an excellent adventure travelling.”
“Phoned to book the San Francisco to New York trip for 2015 and received a fantastic service from Sam. He made the booking experience quick and easy. Katie has also been extremely helpful with the planning of our trip and I feel reassured we are in good hands for our trip!
Thank you!”
“The trips was a short insight into all the best bits of Thailand! Until the last few days on the beach, we were kept very busy with lots of exciting things to do (most notably, riding elephants and trekking through the jungle)! Be prepared for long bus journeys (up to 12 hours) between destinations but it is definitely worth it!!”
“The South Africa wild Adventure trip is absolutely spot on for younger travellers and adventure seekers. The trip combines a portion of conservation work with safaris, game drives, kruger days, and extreme sports to jam pack four weeks. Its the perfect length of time to travel for, especially if its your first adventure. You get three hours in the middle of the day, during the majority of your stay, to avoid the midday heat and sunbathe and swim. You make a home at gazebo lodge and a family with all the people there, im missing them all so much. How quick I made friends with everyone helps form solid friendships and reunions are all beginning for me! Highly recommend it , its been unforgettable”
“I traveled with Gap360 on the Thai adventure last year and had a absolutely amazing time which is what made me return with them this year on the South African wild adventure, however I was quite disappointed with this trip. The organisation overseas in South Africa was frankly terrible and we did not even do a lot of the things stated in the itinerary, for example you don't get to choose the activity you want in Sabie, it is chosen for you and we never had the chance to do the bridge swing which everyone in the group wanted to do and the only thing we did in Swaziland was go to the glass factory and go back to the reserve, we never actually saw the dam, bushman painting and the candle factory etc. With the microlight, the rangers left this to the very last minute to organise and I didn't get a chance to do it till week 4 and only ended up having a very short 10 minute flight. Also it took 12 hours to get to Mozambique (only should take 3 hours) because of the poor organisation of the reserve and forgetting visa money, having to go back etc. I really think you should have a few more days in Mozambique to make the traveling more worthwhile and a lot of people thought it would be better if the adventure week was moved to the 3rd week. I think the conditions of the stables are terrible and having never ridden a horse before, the trainer was very nasty to me about this. I would of enjoyed more visits to the community since I really enjoyed this, we only got to visit twice in the entire month, when I originally booked this trip a year ago, the itinerary stated we'd spend a week with the community and it would of been nice to of been informed as the itinerary changed over time. On a positive note, I met some fantastic people on this trip who will hopefully be friends for many years and where you actually stay on the game reserve is beautiful, the accommodation is lovely with comfortable beds and a powerful shower. The food is also really good too, very well fed and everyone had gained a few pounds by the end of the trip! Game drives were really fun, and going to Kruger National park was my favourite part of the trip. Overall I had a fun month, but I do believe improvements need to be made with this trip as well.”
“[Thai Adventure July 2014]
Had an amazing time in Thailand with Gap360, the guides were helpful and good fun on a night out even if there was a slight language barrier.
The first 3 weeks are by far the best weeks of the trip with the forth week being a bit disappointing - the accommodation (Sarana bungalows) was one of the worst hostels we stayed in and is located a long way from Haad Rin. I'd reccomend a 4th week in Thailand but maybe book a hotel yourself as I struggled to see where the extra money that I paid to Gap360 went.
Not to focus on the negatives though as the whole the trip was fantastic. Gap360 were very helpful even when I ended up in hospital for 5 days (tropical fever) - I was met by Gap360 staff every day to check how I was doing.
Do no hesitate to book this sort of trip. It's probably been the best thing I've ever done and has prepared me for future (solo) backpacking trips!”
“I'm so glad I decided to book the Thai adventure experience with Gap360 as i've honestly had the best experience ever! Riding, playing and washing the elephants was surreal and so amazing. All of the places we visited in Thailand were so interesting and different to anything I've ever seen before, making for some great pictures! The food that is provided in Chiang Mai at the Elephant park is out of this world, especially the spring rolls. I would highly recommend this trip as it's the best thing i've ever done! :) You get to see a new side of the world and take part in some exhilarating activities at the same time whilst getting up close to wonderful elephants. DO IT!!!”
“Very helpful! When we were planning on going on the trip they gave us plenty of information that we needed. Also, when our flight was delayed in Heathrow which caused a lot of hassle with connecting flights and our pick up they organised everything on their side, e.g contact the Game Reserve to explain what's happened to us and to reorganise a pick up for us after we finally land.
Overall, Very pleased with the company and would recommend this company to many!”
“I did the Costa Rica Adventure at the end of June 2014 and its the best thing I have ever done! I hadn't travelled by myself before so I was a bit nervous about the whole thing but everything was so smooth. I booked an airport transfer from the airport to my hotel, and the G Adventures representative was so nice and friendly. I immediatly felt welcomed, which set the holiday off to a great start!
Our tour guide, Marvin, was the best tour guide ever! So friendly and helpful; he could tell you everything about anything, and was always there to help you if you needed anything, That included touring the town at midnight trying to find somewhere that sold hot chocolates :P
The whole trip was just so well organised. Transport was always on time, there was plenty of information about everything & even the individual tour guides we had for each activity had been well recommended so each one was amazing! It couldn't have been any better in any way! :))
I would definitely recommend this trip if anyone's on the fence... its just amazing in every way! :D Take me back already :P”
“After always wanting to travel and carrying out tons of research on the internet I stumbled upon Gap 360. I was immediately attracted to their Best of the West trip in the USA as it covered many places I've always wanted to visit like LA, Las Vegas, San Francisco and many more. I immediately got in contact and asked for additional info and was told about the payment plans they offer whereby you pay a certain amount each month for your trip cost to make your finances more manageable. Once I paid my deposit and placed myself onto a payment plan, I was on the track to the USA. The trip was just amazing, incredible and every other positive adjective you can think of! I saw some amazing places I never thought I'd see in my life and have made some great friends along the way who I have kept in contact with. My CEO (tour guide) was amazing, so friendly, happy, fun and always made sure our trip was the best it could be. I'd recommend this trip to anyone who wants to travel the West Coast of the USA. You won't regret it!”
“I booked with Gap360 for the first time in January to leave in June. I was a little nervous as I've never done this style of trip or booked onto a tour through a company before, but Gap360 were great. They gave me all the information I needed before I went so I felt completely prepared when I arrived in my first stop, Bangkok. The tour I was on was the Bangkok to Singapore on a shoestring tour. I travelled with my flatmate from uni and 14 other people from all over the world. We had a tour leader, Lek, who organised us and took us from place to place and sorted accommodation, though you could choose what you wanted to do in the day and night time, so you still had the freedom of a 'do it yourself' travelling experience. I got to visit some incredible places; sandy white beaches, busy cities, beautiful scenery and not to mention the incredible nightlife! The trip covered a lot of ground very quickly but I still got a real sense of the different cultures. I made some amazing friends from all over the world on this trip and wouldn't hesitate to do it again. Definitely would recommend doing a tour like this, particularly if it's the first time you've travelled!”
