“Always buy gabor shoes and boots, but these military boots are very uncomfortable and left me with very painful feet”

As fit is personal to each customer there is no guarantee of a perfect fit and we would advise if the items have not been worn outside you are welcome to return these for a refund. “I bought two pairs of shoes - both the same size - 2.5 which I have difficulty getting - one is fine but the other is far too tight so will be returning it.”

“Every pair of work shoes I own are Gabor. However, I recently bought a pair online which aren't right for me and am disappointed I need to pay return postage.”

“I love Gabor shoes but wasn't happy when I bought two pairs of boots and one pair were not suitable and I had to pay postage to return . So I will not buy online again”

Thank you for your review. With regards to returns, we offer free standard UK delivery on orders over £40.00 and these are dispatched within 5 working days, however do ask customers to pay towards the cost of the return. You can of course return to a store if one is near to you however there are cost efficient ways of sending back your order. Although we do recommend a tracked service, there are different levels of service and cover you can choose at the Post Office when returning. You can return via Collectplus which is £4.49 for up to 10KG and is ideal for larger items or multiple orders, the link to this option can be found in the returns section of our website. We appreciate the feedback regarding the returns policy and will pass this onto the correct department, as we are constantly reviewing our policies to ensure the best service for our customers. “Nice quality but innerse very hard it needs some spongy padding, also a little narrow and I’ve had to loosen the laces but then there is no lace to tie up. It’s a shame as the style is excellent”

“Hi the 3* is actually a meaningless average in this case. 5* for the customer service and delivery - brilliant. 0* for the shoes themselves as they are described as Navy blue when in fact they are (indistinguishable from) jet black. Terrible waste of carbon shipping them up and down the country for nothing; I would never have ordered them if the colour description had been accurate. Come on Gabor get your act together!”

“Boots arrived in good time, right size and very comfortable , but the wrong colour!!!!!!! I ordered pepper suede and a navy blue pair were delivered . fortunately we have a Clinkards in Newbury and they were able to order the correct ones for me .They should arrive this week, just hope it is correct.”

“I bought the Ramona Calf-Length boots about two weeks ago. They are very pretty, the leather is soft, and the shoes are well-made. I bought them because I needed comfortable but stylish shoes, and they looked to have both these features. Unfortunately, wearing them for 1 hour made my feet so sore than I was unable to walk due to blisters. I suspect this is linked to the quality of the insole. It feels soft when you touch it, but when you apply pressure on it the thickness disappears and it is like you are walking on the hard outer sole. I wonder if this is the effect of a memory foam insole, but this was a very bad surprise. I have now put a latex insole and they work OK, but for the price I paid I would have expected something better. The shoes are otherwise good.”

If you live anywhere near to a Charles Clinkard store, you can take your return to them and they will organise a refund for you. We do deliver free of charge, but do ask if the customer will cover the cost of return if posting back. “Lovely shoes but just don’t fit! The style is fantastic. I am a standard 5 but just couldn’t get my feet into them even with a shoe horn. They lacked depth of instep 😓”

“I would like to give feedback for the ankle boots I ordered but returned. The soles seemed badly designed, completely flat and not flexible enough so I felt I walked like a duck, flapping my feet down. It's a shame as the overall design looked good, if a bit less elegant than I'd hoped.”

“The shoes and boots were nice but weren’t suitable. I felt the quality was not the same as previous Gabor shoes that I’ve had. I was disappointed to have to pay for the returns which I hadn’t realised. I wouldn’t have ordered them if I’d known that to be the case.”

We do offer free delivery on items over £40.00 however returns are payable by the customer. “I initially received the wrong size which meant a trip to town to return them and order another pair. I received the new pair within a couple of days which was good service but I still had the inconvenience of returning the first pair. There was no acknowledged or apology from the company that they had made the error which I felt was disappointing.”
