So disappointed.I have bought many pairs of Gabor shoes and have fitted like slippers !! What have you done to the sizing !! Shoes returned

I always like to buy Gabor shoes as they do half sizes. However, the Daphne platform sandals were too big and the platform too thick to make walking in them comfortable. I had to return them and pay for postage. I will not be returning to Gabor site to buy, maybe to view and buy in a shoe shop so I can try them on and not have to pay for return postage. I think that if a shop sells online they should offer a free return, especially for items that needs to be tried on first.

Hello Thank you for your review. I’m sorry to hear the fitting wasn’t right for you. We ask customers to cover the cost of returns as we offer free postage. We provide a wide range of methods to return your parcel to us from returning in any Charles Clinkard store for free or posting back to us via Royal Mail second class tracked service for as little as £3.30, for example. Unfortunately, there were scratches on the sandals. The suede looked dirty in sime parts of the sandals.

Thank you for your review. Unfortunately we do not have our own couriers and pay an external delivery service such as DPD or Royal Mail to deliver orders to customers for us. This seems to be a service that everyone appreciates. We do ask customers to cover the cost of returns and have a link on our website to CollectPlus where for £4.49 you can return up to 10 kilo in one package allowing you to send several pair of shoes back in one package. Alternatively you can use any courier or mail service of choice, such as second class Royal Mail who charge around £2.85 for one package shoe size, and if you wish you can pay around 80p more for tracking so that you can see when it arrives with us. Everything good but would not shop on line with Gabor again as there was wasn’t a free returns label- as expected.

The silver tab behind the laces on the right foot was damaged. The fit was good. I needed to wear them so didn’t return them.

Delivery was really quick and communication was good. However. Returning the shoes as they were so uncomfortable. The back part rubbed the moment I put them on. I’m normally a huge Gabor fan but was really disappointed

Comfortable and stylish sandals however the strap round the heel with buckle is extremely short. I do not have fat ankles and my feet fit right in but I'm going to have to make a hole in the strap right at the end to be able to do the buckle up. Not good with expensive sandals.

I reordered this style of sandals in a different colour. I buy them regularly as they are my go-to sandals in hot weather. This is the only time I have felt disappointed. The quality has dropped as the fabric that your foot rests on used to be a soft fabric - possibly suede - but this time it looks to be made of plastic or acrylic. I have not returned them as I love the style, but it seems expensive for this seemingly reduced quality. I will now keep my eyes open for all-leather alternatives. Disappointed as I have always been happy until now.

This has been made because some customers do not like the leather footbed and the fact that it can mark. Others love the leather type and would prefer them. Lovely shoes but sent them back as the ankle strap didn’t reach around my ankle. I have size 3.5 feet but my ankles are not tiny so sadly I had to send them back. Can never get this size in the shop so ordered online.

Shoes are lovely and wonderfully comfortable. Shame I needed to pay for delivery and return. This does not Incentivise another order I am afraid. This has impacted how I have rated. For this reason, I would not recommend to a friend.

Thank you for your review. Our delivery is free to customers unless they opt for an express delivery which is how your order was sent. This is why you had a postage charge. With regard to returns, we do ask the customer to cover the cost. This can be kept low by using Royal Mail second class for aproximately £2.85 and adding tracking for 80p more. There is also a link to Collect Plus on our website where for £4.49 you can return up to 10 kilo. This means you can send several pair back in one package for this low cost. I do like the sandals. I was disappointed that I wasn’t informed about having to pay duty on the purchase. Also, the final payment on checkout was higher. Very disappointing indeed. I probably will not be making any more purchases. At the end of the day, a very expensive pair of sandals!

Having had Gabor shoes in the past and knowing they are made to a high standard I ordered a pair of sandals on line. They arrived in express time, excellent quality only problem was I could not get them on. I have a standard width foot and after some difficulty managed to get on the right foot to find the strap across my toes was baggy. Getting it off was also difficult si I didn't bother trying the left foot...... sorry they were returned. Had they had a buckle fastening I don't think I would have had any difficulty. Also the baggy strap was a no no. Buying on line is good if things ok but I had to pay the return postage!!!

With regard to postage, we do cover the cost of postage to the customer but ask if the customer will cover the return costs or take back to a Charles Clinkard store. You can use second class Royal Mail to keep costs down, and maybe add tracking for an extra 80p. You can also take back to a Charles Clinkard store, you have 2 not too far away, you have up to a year so long as unworn, so if ou are in those areas, they would arrange a refund for you. . Delivery was good and fast however I had to return the boots at my own cost. They didn’t fit to my usual size. I would have appreciated a prepaid returns label.

With regards to returns, we do deliver free of charge and as we do not have our own vans, pay either DPD or Royal Mail to deliver for us. We then ask customers to cover the cost of the return or take back to a Charles Clinkard store if the item does not fit. Over the years I have bought 3 pairs of Gabor shoes. The first were size 5 and were on the large side but wearable. The second were 4 1/2 (because a 5 was too big) but they were too small so I sent them back. the third were size 5 and too small. They were visibly smaller than the original size 5. Our nearest stockist is over 20 miles away so as I buy online and you have to pay to return shoes I won't buying any more. Note that a Gabor G is only a regular D.

As you are aware, the different styles and widths can make a difference to the fitting, but all Gabor F or Gabor G should be the same width as others with that width fitting. The Gabor D is slightly wider than a regular fitting, it is the C+ that is a regular fitting in Gabor. With regard to returns, you have up to one year to return items and can take them back to one of our stores if you prefer, or if you have more than one pair to send back, there is a link on our website where for £4.49 you can send back up to 10 kilos in one package. The shoes I ordered (size 6) are not true to size. They are huge. I’ve had to return (at my own cost) for a smaller size. I really hope the exchange size fits, otherwise I will be paying for two returns and still no shoes! It’s a real shame as they were good quality and just what I’ve been looking for.
