“Lovely TV stand - fits the space perfectly and is of a really good, solid quality. Customer service was excellent. Delivery on time - all very smooth. Some assembley required but that was well illustrated in the instructions. I had not bought from this company before but I definitely would again”

“Oak furniture, disappointed when it came not in oak. Shelves are made out of ply and stained to try and look like oak. Can clearly see ply when look underneath where stained has been missed. Looks fake and hasnt been made well. Pin nails are still on show, no quality in workmanship at all. Wouldnt recommend it at all. Waste of money, could build a fake one myself for less and better quality. Avoid this scam”

The description on the website clearly states - This range uses solid oak, oak veneers carefully chosen for their character and period appeal, and other materials in its construction We will always abide by distance selling rules and would have given a full refund if you were not happy to keep the bookshelf or had raised issues as to the quality of workmanship. Unfortunately you didn’t contact us to let us know you were unhappy.

“The issue was with Delivery. We were told a time range of 3 hours which we moved plans for to stay home until 1pm. Then got messages about not having paid delivery fee and that we had to pick up (they got the customer wrong) and then told we’d have to wait between 2-3pm so we spent the whole day waiting and had to cancel our plans. Shambles.”

“Excellent product, and good coms throughout; they respond fast to emails and do not expect you to go through chatbots. The product was absolutely excellent, good prices and really well packaged. Why not 5 stars? Well only because I felt so sorry for the delivery drivers. It says on FW's own website that it will take about six people to lift it safely, and despite me reminding them of this, they still allowed just two people to deliver it with a tiny trolley. Well... the trolley would not move it so the two drivers had to lift it with our help and it was only out of the kindness of their hearts that they managed it; I could tell they were in pain. I just think - responsibly - FW should have ensured they had the right hearvy duty equipment provided to move it, or additional people. But... the delivery guys did it! They were amazing! They deserve a medal and, all in all, I am delighted with Furniture World!”

I note your comments regarding the delivery team – this is a contracted courier company who are aware of the weights involved of all our products. I am not sure why there were only 2 people on the delivery team given the weight of the dining table, and we will follow this up with them to ensure good service is provided for our customers and a duty of care to their employees.

“Really poor customer service. The items were significantly delayed compared to what was announced on the website at the time of purchase. We contacted customer service via email and got very curt answers, barely acknowledging the issue. I had to chase several times to get updates. No customer centric approach whatsoever.”

I can see your order was delayed by a couple of weeks from the confirmation dates sent out to yourself. The sales team advised you of a delay regarding the container ship having issues docking in the recent inclement weather. Please accept our apologies that you felt the replies you received were very curt. It was not the intention.

A little apprehensive about online ordering but it was unfounded the company were super and competitive with the price. Both items took a few weeks but we knew this at time of purchase Kept well informed frequently Would recommend furniture world.”
